The "Zornale", is an original manuscript that contains a large amount of data, providing a daily record of the books acquired by the Venetian bookseller Francesco de Madiis, between 1481 and 1488. Zornale is a family of text fonts in five weights that can be combined with the variant Caption with short ascenders and descendants. The family is completed with true italics in two weights (light italics and italics) specially designed for use in reading texts. These fonts have been designed with precise kerning and full OpenType features: Small caps, old-style numbers, Swashes, stylistic and contextual alternates, ligatures and case-sensitive forms. This is not a brush font! This is an imitation of brushstrokes, done by pen. But I guess you've already noticed that - the brushstrokes are way too obvious, to have been made by brush. Although being a "fake", the letters leaves you with quite a good impression. Letters were inspired by an old horror movie poster, but is very useful for something less terrifying!

Ironwood is an Adobe Originals typeface designed by Joy Redick in 1990. Ironwood font is a homage to the old woodtypes made popular by the wanted posters in Western films. Adrian Frutiger designed his typeface Westside with the same idea in mind. Ironwood font is reminiscent of the Wild West and its shoot-out heroes, and its robust figures are particularly good for headlines.

ITC Mendoza is a serif typeface with old style characteristics. A generous x-height and a lack of contrast between thick and thin strokes, gives the ITC Mendoza Roman font family good legibility and provides a sturdiness which enables the face to withstand low resolution output and less than ideal printing conditions. It is ideal for continuous text use, particularly in small point sizes.

The three largest sizes of type made by the Caslon foundry are strangely unlike the famously consistent text faces cut by William Caslon. Perhaps they were the work of other hands—or of the master in a funky mood. Caslon’s text types have often been revived, but the display sizes, forceful and a touch eccentric, had no digital version until Matthew Carter’s Big Caslon. The typeface performs well in display environment: headings, stand out text, packaging, posters and so on. The regular and medium weights work well as body text. The typeface is suitable for print and digital. Apium has Latin Extended A and Latin Plus Multi-Lingual support. The word apium is Latin for parsley. The original advert was for a vegetable margarine and that got me on the road of a food theme.
