The amount of styles, condensed proportions and large character set make Floki suitable for various uses such as infographics, packaging, branding, advertising and editorial design. Floki’s aesthetics are distinctly modern and they have a hint of softness which comes from sublty curving the diagonal strokes in letters such as A and V. This feature really shines when you set text in tightly set caps as big as possible. Stylistically Floki leans more to the humanist sans serif but it has a flavour of geometry in its shapes as well. The result of this combination of features is a highly usable typeface with a clear voice of it's own. All styles feature small caps and multiple sets on numerals including lining figures, old style figures, tabular figures, small cap figures, numerators, denominators, superiors, inferiors and fractions. It was originally inspired by my winter scarf knitting exploits. I discovered that making wool scarves was generating beautiful patterns and I wanted them to become a source of inspiration for a style. I made a few collages, and they became letters. Other characters came up with ease. It is readable, but long essays are not its main purpose. It is decorative and will look casual and very attractive on any ad as a title or a short phrase. It also demonstrates very good performance in automatic 3D generators, like Xara 3D maker, used in making examples of how this font can be utilised. It was designed to be thin, soft, with the capacity to cover empty space and to create a vibrant environment. Small characters are different from capital letters, they are stylistic alternates. Some letters are slightly ominous or dynamic, others create a soothing feeling. Using several colors make it shine, but it is complex, it looks good in monochromatic compositions as well.

Multilingual, semi-connected​ display brush script, Nagamaki is perfect for logos, food packaging, menus, labels, apparel, advertising, cards, branding and more. Nagamaki comes with a set of lowercase swash alternates, ligatures and ending terminals. Inspired by my writing created with Pentel Touch Brush Pen and polished into clean forms, it’s stroke endings on letters like l or t reminded me of Japanese Katana swords. After researching the swords I named the font Nagamaki, which is a type of Katana sword with an extra long handle. It works well in smaller sizes and for more text but it shines in medium to large point sizes. You can access all the OpenType features through Adobe, Affinity and other similar software. With a couple of defining features like double story lowercase g and alternate lowercase r it makes a perfect choice for giving a little character to your designs while keeping everything nice and neat.

VLNL TpDuro was designed by chef Martin Lorenz and Juanra ‘Wete’ Pastor. Its concept was inspired by an Albrecht Dürer design from 1525, which shows a system to construct a gothic lowercase letter. Following the logic of this lowercase construction, but not the traditional uppercase letters of regular fraktur (brokenscript) alphabets, some brand new upper case letters were designed. The 45 degree tilted square that forms the basis of the letters, is as square and hard as a cracker. And we love crackers. You can put cheese on them. The ‘pixel’ feeling of the downstroke was intensified by repeating the rotated square module as often as they could. All this resulted in a strong, dark typeface with a steady rhythm, with one foot in history and the other in modern times. It works well as a display typeface for short texts, headlines and logos. Music festivals and heavy metal bands should also pay attention. This is hard stuff.

Several roads have been closed around my village, so I need to drive alongside narrow country roads ro get my groceries done. The roads are so narrow that two cars cannot pass, so you need to use the (muddy) kerbs. A lot of cars these days have Xenon lights and they shine really bright and blue. I am non xenon-phobic, but I can tell you that the ‘old’ yellowish headlight were softer on the eyes, especially when you’re trying to navigate narrow country roads! Yes, I know, a long story leading nowhere, but a little personal story (in my opinion) is better than a boring text full of technical bla bla. A font is a font after all and I don’t need to explain what it looks like, because you can see that for yourself! Headlight Blue is a handmade, all caps display font. It comes with all the trimmings, including two sets of alternates that cycle as you type.

Mandelia was created by Alex Kaczun, an American type designer, in 2010. The typeface was named in honor of Nelson Mandela, former president of South Africa, for his “shining example of the incredible strength of the human spirit to persevere in the face of adversity for the pursuit of freedom”. You can use it easily, because it contains JIS first · second level, and IBM extended Kanji(about 6700chinese characters). This font is bold, recommended to use it for headlines and prominent places.
