“Byblos” is the name of a town in Lebanon and the name of a famous hotel in St. Tropez. Some time ago I discovered their original logo in an old french magazine, just 5 by 3 centimeters small without any text, address, telephone number not even a picture. They did not need that, that’s how famous the hotel and its old logo was. Well they abandoned their identity when the place was sold to a big chain – I think. But the logotype, just those five letters inspired me to this new font. It evokes times past and has a little Bauhaus in it – as well as a really modern touch, all depends on the way you use it. The name Binario means train platform in Italian. Other aspects that informed the design of this font are modularity and efficiency. The interior rounded forms of the letters (counterforms) are based on shape of the Roman arch. Binario has a sibling, Binario Soft. This version has gently rounded stroke ends, which make a softer impression on the page.

Pomerans is a redo of an old font of mine called Suco De Laranja. Since the original font had a citrusy name, I decided to name this reincarnation Pomerans, which means ‘Seville Orange’ in Dutch. I doubt that there are many Dutch people who actually know what a pomerans is! Pomerans is a handmade, all caps font. I kept the look and feel of the original font, but I cleaned up the glyphs, added new glyphs and added additional language support (including Vietnamese and Sami).

This font is for architects everywhere. This all cap font was created for use with CAD programs. It gives the handlettered look of old to computer generated blueprints. Architectural Lettering Bold is the heavier weight for Architectural Lettering. This additional weight makes a best selling font even more versatile. It has all the international currency symbols. Architectural Lettering Regular was redesigned in 2006 to include the same. It can be found in the book “Indie Fonts 3, a Compendium of Digital Type from Independent Foundries”.

As a follow-up to his popular Chocolate font, Angel Koziupa softens his brush again to produce Felipe, a font made in the memory of his brother. TabloidDot M is a simple monospace font created for a small project. It had one task, to imitate the inscriptions on the electronic scoreboard in the form of dots arranged on a grid.
