Escalope is a hand-drawn font with a quirky and unique personality: low midline, unicase, all-caps, matching icons, textures, and the playful Stylistic Sets. 'Escalope Soft' has smooth outlines and sharp terminals. 'Escalope Crust One' is relatively clean but rugged, with an ink stamp outcome. 'Escalope Crust Two' is harsh in texture, with large coarse grains in its jagged outlines. 'Escalope Crust Three' is rather heavy-built, stout, defined, and less grainy. This type family has three alternating alphabets that slightly differ from one another. Thanks to the Contextual Alternates, the alphabets are automatically replaced, in turn, repeatedly to avoid the same letterforms and textures appearing next to each other. Stylistic Sets are also available. SS01 has underlined characters, SS02 has double-underlined characters, and SS03 has a mixture of graphic ornaments. These Sets can be used separately or combined. If the Contextual Alternates are running, the Stylistic Sets will alternate automatically. Escalope includes a set of 150 icons consistent with the four styles of the typeface. They share weight, texture, and font characteristics for a perfect match.

From 1958 to 1964, one of ABC-TV’s popular shows was the detective series “77 Sunset Strip”. Based in Los Angeles, the fictional detective agency was located next door to Dino’s Lodge, (partly owned by Dean Martin and actually located at 8532 Sunset). It was originally known as the Alpine Lodge. The adjacent building where Stuart Bailey and Jeff Spencer’s private detective service was located in fact housed a popular modeling agency. The ‘77’ address did not exist outside of the realm of the series. However, a wonderful sign with Art Deco-influenced lettering graced the set (on the wall of the office foyer) saying “Bailey & Spencer Private Investigators Suites 101-102”. A screen capture of this sign served as the working model for Private Eye JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The typeface's name Yusyad is a portmanteau word consists of two morphemes. It is a simple name-meshing for two different names. Those names represent the name of the designer's wife (Yusra) and the name of the designer (Eyad). Yusyad is like an epithet that ties the two partners' honest and eternal relationship until the last day of their lives. Technically, Yusyad is a sans-serif condensed and display typeface. It comprises seven fonts with dual styles and multiple weights. Specifically, it has two main styles, namely, the normal and the inline design. The normal style comes in five weights (i.e., thin, light, regular, bold, and black) whereas the inline style has two weights (i.e., regular and bold). The typeface is designed with more than 700 glyphs or characters. Its character set supports nearly most of the Central, Eastern, and Western European languages using Latin scripts including the Irish and the Vietnamese languages. The typeface is appropriate for any type of typographic and graphic designs in the web, print, and other media. It is also absolutely preferable to be used in the wide fields related to publication, press, services, and production industries. It can create a very impressive impact when used in movies' or TV-series titles, posters, products’ surfaces, logos, signage, novels, books, and magazines covers, medical packages, as well as the product and corporate branding.
