Janek is a semi-serif typeface inspired by old Polish signage. Rather then mimic specific style, it synthesises various inspirations. It is named after an Author of a classic Polish manual, that kickstarted this project, „Techniques of Lettering“ by Jan Wojeński. Large character set and style selection allows for richness of expression. Pointy upright and slightly decorative italic bring unique blend of aesthetics. It works well in rich text and as a striking display. Janek consists of seven italic and seven upright styles ranging from Light, to Black. Sudtipos is really proud to announce the release of Regional, a solid workhorse type family of 27 styles inspired by the Old Style Bold models from the late XIX century by different type foundries. The unique diagonal in the "R" has been the key that inspired us to create many of the several alternates included in the set. Mind Boggle was made during the renovation of our fixer upper farm house. We had to demolish an old annexe (because it was unsafe) and it caused us some stress, as one wrong movement of the excavator would mean at least a partial collapse of our home… Luckily the driver was a pro and it was mind boggling to see what he could do with a huge machine like that. Mind Boggling? Ah! Check! Mind Boggle is a handmade, all caps, headline font. It is a bit wobbly in places, but it comes with loads of character. The dotty style comes with thousands of hand made dots. They’re not perfect, they’re not even round, but they are unique!

ITC Orbon font is the work of New York designer James Montalbano, inspired in part by a demo of black letter calligraphy in which letters were created out of only four or five basic strokes. I combined that idea with the notion of taking historical forms like German gothic blackletter and progressively paring them down to achieve a futuristic version, as if this old form naturally evolved over several hundred years to arrive at its post-modern incarnation." The Navigator family is inspired by the early explorers, the early sailors with their old-style tattoos and the cowboys in the old west. I mashed up these to styles to create the Navigator display family. It has a vintage feel with a more modern day approach. Use the regular styles to give your artwork a more clean look and feel or the rough styles to take on the more vintage old-style. This family is great for display use on posters, packaging, editorial and logos. It is created with the designer in mind to have some fun and mix up some great looking Upper / Lower case combinations. The Navigator hand font is an informal, rounded sans-serif that works perfectly with the Navigator display fonts to create beautiful logo and type lockups.

This is a new classic Renaissance Initial font. Renaissance Initial font is perfect for premium design labels, medieval print, antique posters, etc. The fonts are presented in usual and color versions. Only uppercase letters from A to Z and numbers set (36 characters)

Dequindre is a monolinear blackletter typeface, and was drawn as if grade school handwriting practice sheets came in a blackletter variety. Dropping the thin/thick calligraphic contrast of traditional blackletter glyph construction and instead sticking to the bare skeleton of the typeface, Dequindre manages to bring forth a delicate, contemporary aesthetic that plays off of a core blackletter form. Overall portrayed with a softer, more friendly take on the angular, severe forms of 16th century blackletter style, and through pulling some of the curvier, smoother stroke qualities of Antiqua while still maintaining the overall construction and flourish of Fraktur, Dequindre sits in a unique space in the pantheon of blackletter typefaces.

This beautiful old design was originated at the Connor Foundry, New York, about 1888. Ideal for the small "in between" lines in modern versions of Victorian job printing.
