A 1935 piece of sheet music entitled “(There’s A) Little Picture Playhouse in My Heart” had its movie-themed title hand lettered in a condensed Art Deco style with a few interesting character variations. The resulting digital type design is Stage Production JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Ordinary Gothic JNL is a simple, thin "stovepipe" style of hand lettering found on the cover of a piece of sheet music for 1937's "You Can't Stop Me from Dreaming", and is available in both regular and oblique versions. The song was introduced and featured by Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians.

Crysh Graffiti is the newest typeface with a simple graffiti style. There are three styles of font. Regular, extrude, and line styles Inspired by a simple piece of graffiti. The entire typography has been designed to work on large sizes. This font is good to use on posters, zines, stickers, and t-shirts.

In the early 1960s, the Duro Decal Company of Chicago, Illinois added to its line of water-applied decal lettering a retail sign cabinet of die-cut, pressure sensitive vinyl letters and numbers. Four of the six sizes offered for sale were cut from white plastic with a black outline and a secondary gold inline for a tri-color effect. Sign Stickers JNL emulates as closely as possible the look of these nostalgic pieces, complete with the slight shifts in line weight due to hand-cut silk screens and the printing process. It was used in parts of Transylvania until the 1850s, although it was banned by Istvan, the first Christian king of the Hungarians (Szekel), in line with an order to "destroy all pre-Christian inscriptions". Hungarian runic script was usually written on wood-stone pieces in the bustrofedon style. In this method, the writing was written consecutively from right to left and from left to right. The type design for Impecunious JNL comes from the 1939 sheet music for "You Don't Know How Much You Can Suffer (Until You Fall in Love)". The name comes from another piece of sheet music, 1899's "Impecunious Davis" [a piece of late 19th century tripe demeaning Black Americans]. However, the word "impecunious" was intriguing. According to the website Merriam-Webster.com, the simple definition of impecunious means "having little or no money". Since we've all been in that spot at one time or another, it became a perfect font name. Impecunious JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

A couple of pieces of sheet music from France [circa 1925] offered the inspiration for Chanson De Paris JNL (Song of Paris), which is available in both regular and oblique versions. This hand lettered Art Nouveau style features a unique take on thick-and-thin lettering which foreshadows the Art Deco typefaces to come during the 1930s.

Squared letters with rounded corners – Deco stylized letter forms – some characters with ‘hook’ semi-serifs – such is the mixed styles that comprise the hand lettered title “United We Stand” on a 1940s-era piece of sheet music. This unusual conglomeration of character shapes inspired the aptly named Hybrid Deco JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Scandals JNL is free-form hand lettering with an Art Nouveau influence showing up on a 1928 piece of sheet music for the song "American Tune", and is based on the cover text noting the song was from the popular (9th Edition) of George White's Scandals; a Broadway musical-variety show. Available in both regular and oblique versions.

While the inspiration for Prospect Heights JNL may have been a piece of vintage sheet music entitled "My Ohio Lullaby", the name is classically New York. To be precise, it's a neighborhood in the Borough of Brooklyn. Prospect Heights JNL is available in both the regular version (with an engraving line) and a solid (plain) version.

VLNL Gaufre is a pixel-based font with holes designed by Donald Roos. Each character is built on a grid of doughnut-like elements, which makes it look like a kind of dried dog food, or Belgian waffles. Despite the grid Gaufre still has enough warmth due to the doughy, slightly rounded corners. And because it’s prepared with a hot waffle iron of course. The end result is a merry, chunky typeface that smells of doughnut. Use it for logos or headlines, just add butter and sugar or, better still, top it with whipped cream and cherries. Yummie!

This slinky number will seduce you with its linking letters and special ligatures. Brimley's strokes are tight and sharp, and its characters are tied together with slender, whispy hooks. Although its elegance is timeless, this is a style that typifies lettering of last century's late '50s and early '60s. Chank Co. intern Tim Drabandt created Brimley with inspiration from antique type books. He named the font after Wilford Brimley. You know... the chubby old guy who tells you to check your blood sugar and eat your Grape Nuts and Quaker Oats. Haven't you ever seen Cocoon?

Nazari is a typeface for titles with personality, character and multiple alternatives to design. Nazarí is inspired by Arabic lettering and calligraphy, but updates its shapes through games of high contrast, geometric design and rounded terminals. The family has 4 styles: Regular, Regular Inline, Sans and Sans Inline. In turn, Nazari is divided into a basic set and an extended set. The basic set supplies all the essential characters to design any graphic piece. The extended set also contains different contextual alternatives, ligatures and swashes.
