SD Quainton was created in 2016 by Jonathan Quainton the co-founder of graphic design studio Sawdust. With a harmonious blend of Didone and Bauhaus elements Quainton embarks on a fresh and innovative direction. Drawing inspiration from revered typefaces like Bodoni and Didot, SD Quainton evokes the same sense of awe that captivated its creator. Askan is a new serif face which is suitable both for a pleasant experience in reading texts as well as for striking headlines and for subtext applications with the heavier weights.  Askan shows that it was designed in 2019, generally avoiding any reference to historical models. The reduced number of formal elements results in a clear and contemporary look.  The Askan family consists of 18 styles and is well equipped for advanced typography. It comes in OpenType format with extended language support. All weights contain small caps, ligatures, superior characters, proportional lining figures, tabular lining figures, proportional old style figures, lining old style figures, matching currency symbols, fraction- and scientific numerals, matching arrows and alternate characters.

Supra Extended – designed by Gert Wiescher in 2013 – is the extended version to this new sans typeface family of eight weights. The extended version is designed for sheer elegance and has no italics because they didn't look nice to me. The light and normal weights and the dominant x-height with its high ascenders make for easy reading of long copy. The heavy and x-light weights are great for elegant headlines. Supra is an OpenType family for professional typography with an extended character set of over 700 glyphs. It supports more than 40 Central- and Eastern-European as well as many Western languages. Ligatures, different figures, fractions, currency symbols and smallcaps can be found in all cuts.

Bommer project started in January of 2014 and I am happy to announce the first family - Bommer Slab - is now ready for release. This family includes 14 weights - being seven uprights and seven italics. This font has a strong personality, that makes it perfect for use in headline sizes but means it also works gracefully within text blocks.

Zanzabar is an exotic display font with a distinctive Middle Eastern flair. Its characters loosely mimic the Arabic script with lowercase letters being much smaller than uppercase. Special emphasis was given to the wispy, brush-like appearance of its characters for a suggestion of authenticity. This works best from far away or at small sizes. Although decorative by nature, the entire character set is relatively easy to read. Use Zanzabar for a restaurant logo, children’s book, or a movie poster.

Pragmatica Slabserif was designed as a complement to the popular type family Pragmatica by Vladimir Yefimov and Isabella Chaeva (1989-2004) by addition of square serifs. Inspired by Helserif (Phil Martin, 1978) which was formed in the same way by addition of square serifs to Helvetica (Eduard Hoffman and Max Miedinger, 1957). First sketches of Pragmatica Slabserif were created by Vladimir Yefimov in 1988 during development of Pragmatica. Olga Umpeleva designed the whole slabserif type family of six weights basing on those sketches. All styles of Pragmatica Slabserif coordinate with corresponding Pragmatica styles on metrics, proportions, weights and design. The new family can be used together with Pragmatica and separately. It’s convenient for technical texts, for magazines of general nature, for business applications as well as for advertising and display matter. Pragmatica Slabserif was released by ParaType in 2011.

30s inspired geometric inline display typeface Several titling typefaces made their appearance at the start of the 20th century, notably Acier and Bifur, both created by French poster artist Cassandre.
