The Gold Rush is over, the prospectors have made their fortune and the mine has been worked out! The inhabitants of Boomtown USA have moved on -- the saloon is dry, the sheriff has hung his hat and the only visitors to the local whorehouse are tumbleweeds. Yeah, the buildings remain -- hollowed out husks carrying memories of bar room brawls, high noon shootouts and high stake poker games between outlaws -- but if you take a walk down the street be careful not to kick up too much dust... Turn the corner and you might see Ol' Toothless Joe standing on the corner sucking on a bottle of whiskey... And don't walk too slowly past the storefront of the undertaker -- that guy made his living putting strangers like you in a wooden overcoat from sunrise to sundown. Spooks and Spectres linger everywhere... there's a sign just down the road -- didn't you see it? "Ghost Town! Abandon Hope all who Enter Here!"

Spillsbury was inspired by some examples of 1920s signwriting (principally seen on the side of some vintage vans-good thing they were in a photograph and not on the move!). Spillsbury draws inspiration from these sources to provide a unique combination of legibility and flair, which echoes the charm of advertising and publicity material from the halcyon days of the 1920s. A basic range of four display faces os offered - Regular, Plain (not all that plain really!), Shaded and Shadowed. In a new departure for Greater Albion, three pairs of 'Duo' faces are also offered. These are designed to be used in pairs-and only sold on that basis for little more than the cost of a single face-to provide for two-coloured typographic design, enabling the recreation of those evokative two coloured blocked lettering styles that were used to such good effect in the past. Redwater Banker is a Western slab-serif typeface. A historical frontier lettering, this font is rough and eroded, with a tough and confident attitude. I was immediately fascinated with the font, Breitfette Unziale, used for Erol Büyükburç's Hop Dedik album cover when I discovered this album. I designed a completely brand new typeface that is inspired by it called Erol Unziale but I also wanted to digitize and revive this typeface since I couldn’t find a digital version of it anywhere online. I took some liberties with the original font and customized it to my liking. Here is my interpretation of Walter Haettenschweiler's font through digitization.

ITC Cancione is the inspired work of California calligrapher and illustrator Brenda Walton. She gave a rough texture to her tall, thin all caps alphabet and its ornaments, making them look as though they were drawn with a brush on stone and then left to withstand years of weather and wear. The graceful letters are complemented by a variety of ornaments and flourishes as well as alternates and even stylized words making ITC Cancione perfect for greeting cards and stationery.

Hand drawn, sketchy antiqua that come in two font variants: Regular, Small caps with old style figures. Æterna was revised 2012 and now hold a full character set of basic english/latin letters and west european diacritics!
