Kanban is the work of British designer Ed Bugg, an all capital, oriental style typeface. The name derives from a Chinese restaurant in North Miami Beach, Florida during the 1960s, which in turn took its name from a play on a Yiddish phrase.

I was listening to some old Smashing Pumpkins albums when I created this font. The name comes from a song called *** You (An Ode To No One). Runaround Kid is a hand painted typeface. I used Chinese ink and a cheap Chinese brush to create the inky look. Comes with double-letter ligatures and a whole bunch of diacritics.

Crimson Skyline is a thin brush font. I used a pencil and Chinese ink to paint the letters. Crimson Skyline comes with double letter ligatures for the lower case letters. And the name? Well, it just has a nice ring to it. That’s all!

Designing the font for imitations in the Chinese style the author nevertheless demonstrates serious attitude and thoroughness using the table of keys of the regular Kaishu script. As a result the font looks stylistically authentic and genuine. The typeface was designed by Aleksandra Egorova, the young type designer from St. Petersburg, and released by ParaType in 2008 .
