Font Cervo is inspired by a “You And Me Monthly” published by National Magazines Publisher RSW „Prasa” that appeared from Mai 1960 till December 1973 in Poland.

Traveling through the central and southern parts of Mexico a number of years ago, I couldn’t help but be impressed with the amazing architecture of the indigenous peoples. From the giant pyramids of Teotihuacan to the extensive and impressive layout of Chichén Itzá to the smaller-but-spectacular Monte Alban ruins in Oaxaca, creativity abounds. One of the things I most enjoyed were the carved stone friezes that ran around many of the more complete buildings. Oaxaca calls to mind those beautiful carvings and, strangely, Chinese writing.

Burlington was designed by Alan Meeks in 1985 and is a decorative typeface in the neoclassical style of the middle of the 19th century. Characteristic of faces from this time is the low x-height, which makes the font look as though it is reaching upward. This combined with the white areas in the strokes give Burlington a light, airy feel. The elegant Burlington is particularly good for headlines and can also be used for short texts in point sizes of 12 or larger.

Tony Wenman designed the display typeface Bottleneck in the early 1970s and its figures reflect the spirit of the times. Its distinguishing characteristic is the extreme heaviness of the serifs in the lower third of the characters, a trait which the viewer could associate with the plateau shoes of the 1970s. Bottleneck is a carefree, playful typeface which can be found even today on entertainment fliers and retro advertisements. When used sparingly in headlines and slogans, it is a real eye-catcher. MVB Peccadillo is an interpreted revival of a metal typeface popular in the 19th Century, then known as Skeleton Antique. Highly condensed with extra short descenders, the face makes a big impact in a narrow space. Holly Goldsmith worked from letterpress-printed specimens of 96-point, antique metal type, deliberately retaining subtle distortions due to type wear and letterpress impression. Alan Dague-Greene, referring to printed samples of Skeleton Antique, adapted the design to create two additional optical sizes: “Eight” for smaller text and “Twenty-four” for subheads.

ITC Tremor is the work of British designer Alan Dempsey. You might think that it looks like the letters are in a seismically lively geological zone, but Dempsey had other kinds of motion in mind. Most of the faces I design come from trace 'work-outs' for advertising products. In the case of Tremor, it was to reflect a lively teenager," says Dempsey. The result is ITC Tremor, a cartoony slab serif typeface with irregular angles, straight-edged curves, and lines surrounding each character, making them look like they are jittery.

Savoye was created by Alan Meeks in 1992. The spirit of the Jugendstil lies behind the design of this font. Graceful upright letters combine to create delicate, flowing word figures. The light stroke contrast and slant to the right emphasize the liveliness of Savoye. Generous capitals contrast with small, demure lower case letters whose distinguishing characteristic is their high ascenders. This contrasts beautifully with the relatively reserved descenders.
