Ronna Penner's Sketchley is a 2001 winner of ATypI's bukva:raz! design competition, held recently in Moscow. Inspired by handwriting samples and unable to find a typeface to satisfy her needs, Ms. Penner decided to create her own. The result is this warm, casual script. The compliment of characters demanded the creation of two fonts. Sketchley is considered the base font and should be used for basic layouts. Sketchley Swash has numerous initial, medial and final swash characters that, when used thoughtfully with Sketchley, can recreate the look of hand drawn calligraphy.

The objective of this font was to try and find out how far back in the designer's life this obsession with letters began. The challenge was to draw, from memory only, two sets of caps that recall older Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies lettering. The experiment was a success, which means that the designer's got it bad since he was, like, four! The Marvin set includes three stylistic variations (Regular, Round and Shadow), with extensive multi-script language support covering Western, Central and Eastern European languages, as well as Cyrillic, Greek and Vietnamese. A few extra alternates and interlocking ligatures are also included, all adding up to over 650 characters in each font. And here we are. Grossesbuch is a modern sans serif typeface. The starting point of which was the sketchbook pages. Using a wide-nib nib, I turned the nib so that the stroke was always wide. The sketchbook pages looked like posters. Later, having become interested in fonts, I decided to transfer the drawn letters and make a typeface. I think that the range of use is various accidents: posters, headlines, postcards, captions.

A flat pen script font face with a fairly elegant look to it. The design of this script was intended to be used anywhere a well legible script is called for. A heavy stout script is the perfect display face which has a 30s and 40s flair that will add class. Suitable for applications such as captions, fashion headlines, packaging, invitations, cards, posters, ads, book jackets and covers.

Angelviews a sans serif font with over 80 variations in the lower case, including Latin and Central European diacritics. Alternates in the lower case can be involked in ONE FELL SWOOP with the the Contextual Alternate Opentype feature (calt), or by selecting each single Alternate (aalt). There are some faint differences in the lower case glyphs but enough to give the designer a creative choice in texts or small captions.
