This font was created in honor of my husband for our 12th wedding anniversary. 14 years ago, I met this tall, skinny guy from Indiana in the lobby of a hotel in Hong Kong. We talked. The next day, we had lunch together. And that night we had dinner together. And the next day. And the next. We met just before my 19th birthday, and on my birthday he took me to the top of Victoria Peak, where we looked out over the city of Hong Kong- such a beautiful place to begin a lifetime of love! We spent 4 months together in Hong Kong, falling in love with each other and with the beautiful city we were privileged to call home for that short time. We married the next year. We've lived in Indiana, Texas, China, Kentucky, and Florida over those 12 years of marriage and have welcomed 2 daughters into our lives. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he completes my life in a way I didn't know was possible. And I know that I'm blessed beyond words to have a supportive, wonderful, encouraging husband who is also a loving, involved, caring dad to our daughters. This font is for you, Keith!

Imagine a font that is easier to read the smaller it is – or the further away the text is. There are already many rasterised fonts, I wanted to take it to the extreme and use as few dots as possible. The result is a typeface that lives up to its name. Each individual circle makes no sense on its own; individual letters are only recognisable in the context of all associated circles, individual letters are most likely to be recognised in the context of whole words. Attached to a building wall, text would be readable from a great distance and become increasingly difficult to decipher the closer you get to the building. Placed on the ground or on a large flat roof, text would only be readable from a higher building, an aeroplane or - depending on the size - in Google Earth. Kontext has old style figures, superscript numerals, case-sensitive questiondown and exclamdown and an alternative ampersand, 390 glyphs at all. Use the same value for font size and line spacing to keep the lines in the grid, or change the line spacing in 10% steps. Change the spacing in 100-unit increments to keep the grid. The numbers in the family- and style-names refer to the (ca.) grey value of the respective background and the font itself. Kontext Dot 00-33 has e.g. a white background (0%) and 33% grey value. Kontext Dot 66-33 has a 66% background and 33% grey value. »Positive« styles (first number smaller than the second number) have kerning, »negative« styles (first number bigger than the second number) can have none.

BlackWhite is a titling typeface created by Ferdinay Duman in 1989 styled after the designs of the late 1980s. Like the name says, the figures emphasizes the play between dark and light. To this end, most inner spaces have been deleted. The constructed outlines of the robust figures draw the attention. In some weights, Duman split the figures horizontally, giving them a unique look. Summerisle was developed from a small sample of hand-lettered characters in one of the two theatrical posters for the cult movie The Wicker Man. The style combines elements of Celtic and Art Nouveau design with a bit of the feel of the late sixties paganistic theme of the movie. We've expanded it to a full character set while preserving the unique look. The name for the font comes from the name of Christopher Lee's pivotal character in the movie.

This typeface was inspired by Gering and Remboldt's work during the late 1490s. Their printing concern, the Soleil d'or in Paris, was one of the printing business to engage in the use of blackletter printing, when the rest of the Parisian printers where using humanist influenced roman typefaces. This peculiar backwards trend was really one of the original examples of "retro", taking advantage of the desires of the more conservative northern Europe that had not yet embraced the newer roman types.

This font was inspired by the very well-known humanistic script called "Cancellaresca". This variant was used by a lot of calligraphers in the late 1400s, specially by the Venetian Giovannantonio Tagliente, whose patterns were mainly used for this font. You can compare this with 1610 Cancellaresca. Numerals were inspired by Da Vinci manuscripts, from the same period. We added accented characters and a few others not currently existing at the time. A lot of titling alternates and ligatures are also included.

Sombrieul is Greater Albion’s greatest and grandest Edwardian display typeface yet. Just the thing for any project with a late 19th/early 20th century inspiration. Sombrieul has a LOT of opentype features:- stylistic alternates, ligatures, discretionary ligatures, small capitals, title forms, swash capitals, old-style and lining numerals, numeral title forms. Eckhardt Sans JNL continues Jeff Levine’s “mini series” of fonts modeled after hand-lettering used by sign painters; and named after his good friend, the late Al Eckhardt of Allied Signs in Miami, Florida. Clean and somewhat condensed, this sans face has chiseled edges on many characters and the warmth of the lettering once made by brush or ink pen. Edits and Credits JNL is a cheerful sans serif typeface modeled from ceramic letters in a movie titling set from the late 40s or early 1950s. In the original kit, letters would be lined up accordingly against a contrasting background and photographed for home or professional movie and slide titles. Note: The cap height is slightly smaller than normal for the respective point size. This will give the effect of wider line spacing - similar to that of home movie titles.

Palatino is the work of Hermann Zapf and became available in the late 1950s from D. Stempel AG in Frankfurt am Main. Zapf optimized Palatino’s design for legibility, producing a typeface which remained legible even on the inferior paper of the post World War II period. Zapf named the font after Giambattista Palatino, a master of scripts from the time of Leonardo da Vinci. Palatino is an Old Face font which proves that classic forms can still be used to create new typefaces.
