This beautiful old design was originated at the Connor Foundry, New York, about 1888. Ideal for the small "in between" lines in modern versions of Victorian job printing.

Kids Activities JNL is based on the hand lettering found on the covers of some 1955 Cub Scouts activity books. It's available in both regular and oblique versions.

Syndication JNL was derived from Outline Sans JNL. By removing the outer letters, a thinner character set remained. This typeface is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Nimbus was also the product name of a URW-proprietary renderer for high quality and fast rasterization of outline fonts, a software provided to the developers of PostScript clone RIPs (Hyphen, Harlequin, etc.) back then. Also in the 80s, a new, improved version of the Nimbus Sans, namely Nimbus Sans Novus was designed.
