Onda is a display typeface based on a synthesis of curvilinear nostalgic spirit leads us to a new psychedelia words are immersed in the spirit of the 60s. The first development of Karsten typeface was inspired by signs on some old Dutch-buildings in Java. Then in the making, it blends with modern style. It's a synthesis between two cultures, the East & the West. The typeface was named after the Dutch architect who gave major contributions to architecture and town planning in Indonesia, Herman Thomas Karsten. Heartsome is a ‘forgotten’ word. It was mostly used in Scotland and it means: ‘giving cheer, spirit or courage’. I had never heard of it, but I thought it deserved a second chance, so I named this font Heartsome! Heartsome is a handmade Didone; I used a brand new bottle of Chinese ink and a brand new synthetic pencil to paint the glyphs. Brand new, because all of my drawing materials seem to have evaporated when we moved into our new house… A synthetic brush, because I don’t want animals to suffer because I feel the need to create fonts.

Janek is a semi-serif typeface inspired by old Polish signage. Rather then mimic specific style, it synthesises various inspirations. It is named after an Author of a classic Polish manual, that kickstarted this project, „Techniques of Lettering“ by Jan Wojeński. Large character set and style selection allows for richness of expression. Pointy upright and slightly decorative italic bring unique blend of aesthetics. It works well in rich text and as a striking display. Janek consists of seven italic and seven upright styles ranging from Light, to Black. With extensive language support and wide selection of features, it is suited for range of latin use cases. Janek is a contemporary throwback to the past.

Sultania is a harmonic synthesis of the old characters’ suppleness and the resolute, clean design of modern typography. The rich in contrast calligraphic approach with thick and thin strokes is still visible and you can almost feel traces of ink on paper while it’s shapes in general, without serifs and any embellishments, proclaim its up-to-dateness swinging between roundness and rigor. Elegant, noble, yet still affected by traces of the handwritten script, Sultania is reminiscent of power, wealth, mind and culture. Sultania’s historical roots and it’s originality remind of oriental colors. A close Orient, at the gates of Europe, in which Latin characters are mixed with distant sounds. Noah’s Ark was designed to combine it with the bestiary animal series I designed. A simple font, well harmonized with the highly synthesized designs of animals and insects. So, it seemed natural to use them for posters. Noah's Ark is a stylized font with a constant stroke, which stands between writing and the typeface. Its design is inspired by the fonts used in the 1940s. It is made up of linked letters, excluding numbers and other signs.
