Say hello to Metropolia! Drawing up the first roughs of this design I was aiming for a slightly asymmetrical feel. I later realized that this gave it a strong art deco influence. A slight tilt brings it a forward movement and a distinct flavour. Designed primarily for headline use, this is not your workhorse font but rather a playful and versatile addition to your font toolbox. A set of alternate capitals will be handy for headline or logo ornaments.

ITC Woodland is the work of Japanese designer Akira Kobayashi. It is based on Kobayashi's hand lettering with a flat brush or square-edged pen. I wanted to design each weight to act its own part," says the designer. "The light version tends to look almost fading in small sizes, but the heavy weight is as black as Cooper Black." Neue Jugend is an art nouveau typeface orientated on letter shapes of original Jugendstil fonts. The shapes are reduced to a straight modern look, so one could say it is the 21st century art nouveau. Neue Jugend supports all latin languages and their is a little ligature to bring P and Y closer together, if wanted. It is an uppercase typeface, so it is suggested to be used in headlines. For example on a poster or a book.

Isabella was designed by Hermann Ihlenburg in 1892 for MacKellar, Smiths and Jordan, one of many type houses that were later amalgamated into American Type Founders. As testimony to its long-lived appeal, Isabella was one of the first PostScript® language typeface releases (in 1988) of Agfa Compugraphic. With its unmistakable 19th-century characteristics - swirls, loops, and surprising letter shapes - Isabella is a natural for display situations that demand high drama or, dare we say, melodrama.

This slab serif font is inspired by European industrial, machine-made letters. It looks rational and geometric, but optically corrected and balanced. As the name says this font face is designed to be used by mostly for posters, headlines, visual identities and short texts. Font was created for Celebration of the 5 year anniversary of Design Studio Box from the city of Kragujevac (KG), the industrial city of Serbia. Posterizer KG contains all the Latin and Cyrillic glyphs.

ITC Black Tulip was designed by Dudley Rees and inspired by the modular simplicity of the Greek fret band, an ancient repeating pattern formed by tracing a line at right angles between two horizontal rules to form an interlocking motif. Rees admired the discipline of the motif, I saw how that simple rigid rectangular network suggested an alphabet that would need little or no kerning," he says. Macis is a real-and-fake-retro-modern font-family containing five weights from thin to black. It is inspired by shop signs, packaging and typography from around the middle of 20th century.
