Mein Schatz's (in English: Darling) characteristic feature is the availability of ligatures in the expert set. The font offers – among others – the ligatures sh, sp, st, tz and alternatives for f, l and z. The expert set’s majuscules have curved elements in addition, thus allowing designers to put the typeface to highly individualistic use for displays and logos. Another feature of the font are the two different figure systems. Further to the normal table figures, Mein Schatz also offers old style figures, mainly for use in continuous text. Frank H. Atkinson was a popular Art Nouveau sign painter in Chicago, Illinois. He designed signs for the Cadillac Motor Car Co., Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and the department store Marshall Field. Oddly enough, he even designed signs for other sign painters. In 1908 he published a book, Sign Painting, which sold well. French Plug, a bold, rounded, all-cap design in an American Art Nouveau style from that book. It has a relaxed, easy-going informality that is useful for ads and flyers. It also would have fit very nicely with many French posters of the period.

Originally I called this font YearInYearOutYoureInUrine, but I was told that that name was too long and maybe not in good taste. I settled for WaterCloset when it was first released, but then renamed it with a more appropriate title. It is caps only but the letters on the lower-case keys differ from those on the upper-case keys. It comes with a large assortment of accented letters to support most European languages. Although you certainly would not want to use it for formal invitations, when bad taste is called for, it might be ideal.

First Prize typeface has simple shapes. It is a narrow, heavy sans serif typeface with geometrical logic and quite predictable constructions of characters. The idea behind it was to combine constructed structure of the skeleton and some calligraphic ideas, swashes and cursiveness.
