Sometimes your budget is limited. You may not have all the money it takes to make a project exactly how you want it to be. But sometimes a limited budget forces you to be creative, and work in ways you haven't thought of at first. Maybe the end result could be better than the plan you first thought of? Anyway, here's a font-family that fits into every budget! It comes in 5 different versions that mix nicely, or can be used as a single font as well. All versions have multilingual support as well as contextual alternates - 4 different versions of each letter, that automatically cycles as you type!

If you thought you heard someone callin' your name just now, you might have caught the firm but soft spoken tones of Comicraft's classy balloon lettering font, HushHush. Created in the style of the newspaper strips of the 30s and 40s, HushHush captures the slick movements of the skilled hand letterers of that era. Gracing the pages of Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee's chart-topping BATMAN storyline -- which by a staggering coincidence was also called "Hush" -- these characters have brought to life the words of Two Face, The Joker, Scarecrow, Catwoman, Batman and Robin -- from every whisper to every scream.

This font was actually designed by trying to teach my helper-monkey, Philip, to cut Helvetica out of a piece of cardboard.

Named in homage of Toronto writer and spoken word performer Monica S. Kuebler, Koobler is an interesting interpretation of the classic roman font.

Fucha is a typography inspired by the Art Nouveau movement, and by the lettering of Alphonse Mucha's posters. Fucha is a decorative display font in the Art Nouveau style that originated over a century ago. The style showcases in its elaborate, lightweight curves a bold approach to organic lines and luxurious decor. A complete repertoire of Latin Extended-A characters is contained in the font. Supporting 219 Latin languages, which are spoken in different 212 countries.

The Ale symbol fonts designed by Alessio Leonardi supply a large range of different characters. The two "Ale Ornaments" fonts contain a large set of different spirals, which can be used on tapestries, or as placeholders in presentations. The four separate "Ale Signs" fonts contain a set of daily glyphs, like male and female, smoking and non-smoking, danger, ying and yang, arrows and mathematical signs. The "Ale Transport" font is a large collection of funny pictures for the various kinds of transportation available over air, land and water. Here you can see Alessio's Italian design joy, which he has presented in many ways. Spring Season JNL is a decorated and stylized Art Deco slab serif design from1935 which is based on the hand lettered title on the sheet music for “Paris in the Spring”. The characters are cut through with both a straight line and a wavy, spoked line which looks something like a thorny vine. Spring Season JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Kamerik 205 is inspired by the classic, geometric sans-serifs such as Futura and Avant Garde, but has shallower ascenders and descenders for a more compact look, and features a traditional double-storey lower case a and g. It's a versatile, modern sans, highly legible as a text font and with a clean, elegant look as a display font at larger sizes. It includes old style non-aligning (lower case) numbers, both proportional and tabular as well as accented characters for Central European languages. The Kamerik 205 family comprises of six weights, and is closely related to Kamerik 105. The most notable differences between the two variations, are the two-storey lower case a and g in Kamerik 205, where they are single-storey in Kamerik 105.

This stylized font was inspired by the personal style of the designer’s sister. It has a mixture of Gothic, Arabian, & Persian styles, with elements inspired by thorns and smoke. It can be ideal for projects that require an air of mystery or intrigue, or have an exotic or dangerous flare.

Fusion Sans is an amalgamation of traditional early nineteenth-century sans-serif letters. Despite its monotone structure it retains certain features common to roman. For instance lowercase ‘a’ and the two-storey ‘g’ are normal roman characters, while most letters are designed with a thinning of stroke at the junction of rounds to stems. Other letters are borrowed from earlier gothics, like lowercase ‘t’ which was first seen on a typeface that was developed by Paul Rand for Westinghouse in 1960. Fusion Sans is a tall family of 4 weights which is suitable for long headlines. The new ‘Pro’ version developed in 2006, provides support for all European languages including Greek and Cyrillic while it comes loaded with 19 special OpenType features.

Aderyn is a hand drawn, elegant font with a light touch to it. Aderyn is soft and sleek, but also comes in bolder styles to give a little extra oomph to your designs. Aderyn is Welsh for 'bird', a language I meant to master, but never took beyond 'good morning', 'bird' and 'cat'. I know, it's pathetic… Aderyn comes in 12 styles, all of which have kerning, stylistic and contextual alternates for both lower and upper case letters. It even has a smiley!

A modern, geometric sans serif display font with a hint of the future and the alien. The familiar letter-shapes are reimagined, with key stokes being placed in unusual positions without impacting the readability. The 'Solid' variants have certain counters filled in, creating a bold and unusual rhythm that is very effective in shorter settings. The different versions can be mixed for effect, while letterspacing adds a sharp, clean sophistication.

With it’s origins in a hand-lettered headline about money managers, Bankster is an alphabet meant to evoke the feelings of currency or financial documents. Multiple styles facilitate the perfectly registered layering of components in a variety of color combinations to enhance impact and provide an enriched dimensional experience. It not be for everyone but, it's a perfect solution for the designer who has no patience for boring type treatments.

The first release of XLaserTrain, a toy train font, was constructed by taking bits from the four LetterTrain fonts. Version 2, released in late 2010, added a great many cars with holiday and party themes. The bold version has smoke over the cars and you may have to adjust line spacing (leading) to have it display properly.
