The 2nd installment of the Enchanted Land family takes us on another medieval adventure, opting to completely rebuild instead of refining the legacy script. More emphasis was put into the undulating nature of the Uppercase characters and how they keep your eyes flowing. For this reason, straight lines and right angles are rarely used in favor of flamboyant terminals and wispy swashes. Lowercase characters, by contrast, adhere to a consistent model defined by its straightened edges and sharp corners. This script flirts with several old world styles but seeks only to borrow elements rather than completely emulate them. German Blackletter, Old English, Uncial, Victorian, it’s in there! Enchanted Land DS would work well in a book, video game, or medieval signage. This family is equipped with Basic Latin, Extended Latin, ligatures, punctuation, a few alternates, and kerning.

We often see calligraphy fonts with a standard style developed from the brush pen strokes. Sweet Pancake fonts come in different calligraphy styles. The usual shape has been customized to make it look more personal and special. Sweet Pancake is available in two versions, regular and X. The second version is the development of the regular version by adding sharp corners to the stem. To be more specific, this font also includes several swash so that you can easily mix and match unique and different typographic designs. To attach a special swash to the letter end automatically, you only need to add two / three / four hyphens (the standard ligature feature must be activated). Organic and sublime, Fansan is an Art Nouveau type family that includes roman, italic, and optical sizes. Its roots can be found in famous works such as Benguiat, Windsor, and Melbourne — worldwide typographic references which all have a sense of being imperfectly appealing. The aesthetic influence of Art Nouveau on Fansan can be seen in the top-heavy stress found in most characters. Glosa is a type family designed for editorial purposes. Glosa is delicate and highly readable at very small sizes but reveals all its strength and personality when used at big sizes. The contrast of the sharped serifs and ball terminals provides a fresh and very contemporary look. Glosa Text is a bracketed serif, softer, smooth and less idiosyncratic, suitable for text settings. Dimitrina was created with a simple premise: Can there exist a typeface which features a minimum of sharp angles? And a readable typeface, as well? With these strict rules in mind, the development started. At first the typeface looked more like a script, and some characters ( M G or R, to name a few) still hold traces of a handwritten style which spices the overall taste of Dimitrina. Since the first draft every character was redrawn, and edited several times, for the purpose of making the typeface readable, and distinct at the same time. Terrance Weinzierl's Terry Junior typeface is a perfectly imperfect design – one that retains the marks of the brush used to create it and harks back to the craft required to hand make letterforms. Originally drawn during a Monotype Font Marathon, Weinzierl later refined the typeface digitally – adding an Inline version and designing alternates that replicate the irregularity of real-life brush scripts. “It has a natural, cheery and bold appearance,” says designer Terrance Weinzierl. “It's young, but not wild. On the one hand Chateau is almost palatial but at the same time it has a quite earthy personality as represented by the stenciled strokes. However, this stencil effect serves to refine the strokes by creating the illusion of a completed thin stroke. Chateau is more of a hybrid roundhand script with its contrasting ornate capitals. Originally a fortified residence in France was called a Chateau. Today there are many estates with true Chateaux on them in Bordeaux, but it is customary for any wine-producing estate, no matter how humble, to prefix its name with "Chateau". This is true whether the building itself is a magnificent palace or a shack. The distinctive chateau architecture was in inspiration for the name of this script. Chateau is ideal for packaging design, invitations, announcements, headlines, brochures, menus, weddings, scrapbooking, etc. Chateau is available in Opentype, Postscript and Truetype for Macs and PCs.

Black Tie is an art-deco font with the smooth sophistication of retro design. It is very readable and can be used at all sizes. It functions well as a display font and creates attention-attracting headers and subheaders. Black Tie comes in two styles: 1. Black Tie Regular: in which the caps and lower case have different baselines. Black Tie Regular is better for sub-heads and display. 2. The intention with Capo was to make a typeface with a pinched, angled connection between curves and verticals. We have explored this incised, cut motif previously on typefaces, most notably Noah, Sabre and Harbour. These have focussed more specifically on stone-cut forms. For Capo we wanted to mix the expressive quality of its ‘pinch’ idea with an overall aesthetic that could be applied to text rather than headline. So Capo has something of the function and warm, organic quality of Grotesque style typefaces. In Capo’s Bold and Black weights the sharpness of the letter shapes is more dramatic and emphasised, making for great effect for large-sized text. Why Capo? A capo is a device used on the neck of a stringed (typically fretted) instrument to shorten the playable length of the strings by pinching or clamping them in place, hence raising the pitch.

Neuron Angled is based in the idea of Neuron, the original font designed in 2012 by Corradine Fonts' team, keeping from its predecessor the proportions and slight narrowness. In this version the rounded edges are replaced by sharp contours and flat endings. A broader typographic system is proposed in Neuron Angled to obtain a versatile and modern typeface without missing its original distinctive style. The neutral aspect of the family allows its application in a wide range of projects specially in those related with branding, signage and editorial design. The Neuron Angled family consists of four styles with eight weights each one, for a total of thirty two fonts. Having spent all of my teenage years in the 90s, it's no surprise that this very particular decade resonates so deeply in me. As a graphic designer, I still think the strongest visual languages of the last 50 years or so come from that time. Bold aggressive attitude is what most people remember from those designs. What they seem to forget—or, rather, to have completely ignored—is that some incredibly elegant and subtle styles emerged from those years. It still amazes me how they reflected so well the period in which they were conceived, taking style construction to the next level. Riff is a natural development of some of my thoughts about the 90s. Mixed with a very contemporary feel, it embodies several idiosyncrasies I absorbed over years of exposure to favorite design pieces, fonts, music, films and other cultural products that share the same spirit.
