The typeface’s name is derived from ‘a’ ‘cor’porate ‘de’sign typeface, however Acorde is not only suitable for corporate design programmes but for information design and editorial design purposes as well. Acorde’s inception was in early 2005 as Stefan Willerstorfer’s final project in the Type and Media course at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague (NL). It is a humanist sans serif with noticeable diagonal contrast and shows clear influences of the broad nib pen, especially in the Italics. Acorde’s characterful details give it a distinctive appearance in large sizes and contribute to its high legibility in small sizes. It comes in 14 styles – seven weights in Roman and Italic each. While the proportions of the Regular style were chosen to guarantee optimal legibility without being too space consuming, the heavier the weight gets the more suitable it is for headline purposes. The heavy weights are relatively narrower than the lighter ones, which gives them a strong appearance. In 1459, while visiting his dying mother, Italian painter Piero della Francesca spent seven days creating a fresco of a pregnant madonna in a small country church in the hilltown of Monterchi (Italy). Hailed today as one of the masterpieces of Italian Renaissance, the fresco was given a new branding in 2019 by Art Director Riccardo Falcinelli who asked the Zetafonts team to develop a custom font for the project. The resulting typeface system, designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini together with Andrea Tartarelli and Maria Chiara Fantini as a rework of Francesco Canovaro original Beatrix Antiqua, is a 50-weights ode to the beauty of classical roman letterforms, that pairs elegant alternates and quirky ligatures with an array of design options for clear and effective editorial, signage, logo and wayfinding design. The base display family, Monterchi, allows endless design expressions with a range of six weights from the slender thin to the strong extrabold, all with matching italics and an array of over one hundred discretionary ligatures. Milafleur presents the second member in the series of pictorial fonts with calligraphic miniatures by Lyudmila Mikhailova. The first font of the series, Milanette, was released one month earlier. Milafleur contains more than 60 pictures -- mostly flowers which define the origin of its name. In contrast to Milanette the pictures in Milafleur are less abstract and thus can be used as small illustrations in greeting texts, postcards, intimate notes, diaries and even in Christmas cards because some of the pictures show strobiles instead of flowers and coniferous branches instead of leaves. Rever is an experimental typeface by a young designer Sasha Smirnov. It clearly alludes to 19th century typefaces with reverse contrast, but still the character shapes are as simple and geometric as possible. Rever answers the question “What can a reverse-contrast typeface look like today?” Its set of styles is non-traditional: in addition to a regular one, there are also an oblique (slanted to the left, not to the right!) and a stencil styles. The typeface can work for typographic experiments of any kind -- web, print or motion design. The font was released by Paratype in 2019.

In its characteristics Xtra Sans is a combination of modern grotesks/grotesques and traditional calligraphy. Its upright and compact letterforms generate a sturdy effect as in the early 20th century grotesks Nobel, Kabel or Erbar. On the contrary, dynamic inside forms (counters) give the characters a fluent appearance. As a result, Xtra Sans stands out in large size, while remaining highly legible in small and long text. In 2007 Xtra Sans received a Certificate of Excellence in Type Design from Type Directors Club, New York. In 2002, still unpublished, it was awarded a bronze prize at the Morisawa Awards, Tokyo.

Liberteen is a display typeface combining contemporary sharpness of lettershapes and post-modern irony in details with historical roots. This is Avris, an exceptional and feminine stencil font. The base was designed in 2015. The word ‘avris’ derives from the latin rara avis, which means “rare bird”. Stencil fonts were initially designed for mass production and transportation companies. Unlike this one, Avris’ curvy and minimalistic design feels and looks like the wings of birds, flying above the quiet ocean. It also has a roman, calligraphic and cryptographic touch to it. Telegraph font family was developed on the base of scanned images of telegraph printing machines. It consists of 4 styles: Natural is the most close to original scans with all defects of positioning and dirty print on the rough telegraph paper tape; Clean style uses cleaned contours, but keeps disorder in positioning; Straight is straightened along base line; Clean Straight style has self-explaining name. Medina Gothic is a three-weight sans serif inspired by Latin American moderne. It was designed in response to the 2002, Altos de Chavon design conference in The Dominican Republic, which celebrated utilitarian driven gestures in graphic design. "There’s a rigor to Medina Gothic that takes care of all sorts of tenets of a hard-working, highly legible, objective font. But at the same time, it’s human. All the curved terminals and open counter forms make for a sort of kindness. This font was originally meant to be my last creation of 2022, but as it turned out, it was the first font of 2023 instead! Why? Well, because it took me a lot of time to complete the 150 different swahes letter combinations, the 182 different letters (not counting numbers, accented characters etc) the small caps, the subscript and the multilingual support! Anyway, it was worth the work - the Frequent font works great as a display font, or whatever you have in mind. Play around with the different versions (Regular, Solid and Inside) for great results.

Dimensions is redesigned font family based on Blackout font released as free font in 2005. The original blackout has been used especially for company or brand logo of fashion and music label in the world. In 2011, Blackout had evolved into this Dimensions font family of seven weights with roman and italics. They are one of the most condensed, black and skinny font in the world. All weights and italics have upper and lower cases, accented characters and small capital glyphs that can be used with OpenType smcp feature. There is high contrast version called Speedometer.

Snowflake is a new typeface by Jessica Hische, released in September of 2010. Inspired by cut paper snowflakes, this whimsical face is perfect for the holidays! It also resembles Mexican papel picado, so it is as at home in Summer designs as it is in wintery ones. The full typeface includes full alphabet, numbers, punctuation, accent characters as well as over a dozen snowflake ornaments which can be used to create amazing decorative borders or to just sprinkle about! You can also purchase just the snowflake ornaments separately, if it is just the ornaments you are after.

Sumply is a multi-layered type family based on geometric forms. A monospace display typeface which comes as a family of four. It is equipped with OpenType features and contextual alternatives to create a versatile and fresh output. Sumply initially was designed to be used in personalization processes in digital printing. By choosing the basic geometric cut (FOUR), patterns and various graphic elements can be created just by importing text variables into the indesign data merge. If combined with the other cuts the possibilities are sheer endless. Sumply was selected to be in the 2016 edition of Typodarium.
