Adriane Text was designed between 2006 and 2007 with additional production completed by Silas Dilworth for this 2008 release [v1.002]. Focusing on text composition and unique typographic characteristics, details within the characters provide both personality and excellent legibility at small sizes. With a medium contrast, a predominantly vertical axis, and a generous x-height, it can be classified as a transitional typeface. We have created this family from the numerous derivatives in use for newspapers since the middle of the 1800s to the 1970s, inspired by the well known Clarendon. Palatino Sans Arabic is a collaboration between Lebanese designer Nadine Chahine and Prof. Hermann Zapf. The design is a low-contrast companion to the award winning Palatino Arabic and comes in both regular and bold weights. It is designed for use in print in both large and small sizes, and brings into Arabic the informal and friendly appearance of Palatino Sans. The counters are wide open to allow for better readability in small sizes as well as to maintain an open and friendly appearance. Professor Minty is a cartoon-inspired kind of comic font with a lotta bounce and a whole buncha spooky fun. Both regular and bold are based on Chank’s first fonts, Mister Frisky and Uncle Stinky. The Bold version is brand new in 2011, never before available. But here both of those fonts are combined into one extra-savvy font that does all kinds of tricks. It has many extra special OpenType features, like Swash, Contextual Alternates and Small caps and more. There’s even a “decaf” feature (Stylistic Set #1) which tones it down a bit if the account people think it is just too exciting. Works good for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day, oddly enough. Who knew those three holidays had anything in common?

Carlos Winkow designed Reporter in 1938 for the Wagner foundry. The strokes of this interesting script have the texture of dry brushwritten letters. The alignment is slightly irregular, giving it a spontaneous feeling. Reporter No. 2 is a slightly simplified version of the original Reporter, without the numerous small white strokes inside its stems, which gave the original a scribbly effect. The font is bold and informal. It works well in signs, posters, and other display uses.
