Quilt Patterns Two was inspired by the patchwork designs used in quiltmaking in early America. There is an assortment of 94 patterns located under the character set and shift+character set keys. Quilt Patterns Two is based on the nine patch pattern, a block that is 3 squares by 3 squares, the most basic and most common. The nine patch pattern can be subdivided into 6 squares by 6 squares, 9 squares by 9 squares, etc. Characters of Quilt Patterns Two can be typed in a vector drawing program and then converted to paths/outlines, color may then be added to various parts of a given pattern. Patterns can be stacked horizontally and vertically creating an infinite number of quilt designs.

This classically elegant typeface is based on a 1912 design by Johann Vincenz Cissarz for the Ludwig & Mayer Foundry. To add a little more visual interest, alternate letterforms can be found in various positions throughout the font: consult the expanded character map. Bristol and Bristol Adornado (also known as Greco) was first released by Fundición Richard Gans of Madrid, Spain, in 1925. The Richard Gans Foundry is a defunct Spanish foundry which existed from 1888-1975. Throughout its existence, types were designed by a number of people including José Ausejo Matute (d. 1998), Antonio Bilbao (who created Escorial in 1960), the son Ricardo Gans, and Carl Winkow. GroupType's versions of this font pair have been with FontHaus since the mid 1990s. Bristol is a charming and strong period design. Its structure is masculine and vertical. A great poster font and the Adornado style is an excellent choice for an eye-catching large drop cap.

Answer Songs have been around for [probably] just as long as there have been songs. 1917's "If I Catch the Guy Who Wrote Poor Butterfly" was the answer to the 1916 hit "Poor Butterfly" [by Raymond Hubbell and John Golden], which in turn was inspired by the Puccini opera "Madame Butterfly". "Poor Butterfly" was so popular that this "answer" tune had as part of its lyrics "That melody haunts me in my sleep; it seems to creep." Nonetheless, the sheet music for William Jerome and Arthur Green's comic lament had the title hand lettered with an oval nib lettering pen and is now availably as a digital type face called Dip Pen JNL.
