Walter Brudi's elegant shadowed display font brought to life again and carefully extended with Baltic, Turkish and Central European character sets.

Years before the many "modern" ways to creates signs and posters, the popular method was the rubber stamp printing set. Many of these sets used the classic DeVinne typeface, and were manufactured by at least a half dozen different companies. The "sign and chart printers" (as they were known) often consisted of both upper and lower case letters, numbers, punctuation, pointing hands and other symbols. "Hand Stamped JNL" puts all the fun of the rubber stamp printing set into an easy-to-use digital font with no messy ink spills or clean-up.

MVB Peccadillo is an interpreted revival of a metal typeface popular in the 19th Century, then known as Skeleton Antique. Highly condensed with extra short descenders, the face makes a big impact in a narrow space. Holly Goldsmith worked from letterpress-printed specimens of 96-point, antique metal type, deliberately retaining subtle distortions due to type wear and letterpress impression. Alan Dague-Greene, referring to printed samples of Skeleton Antique, adapted the design to create two additional optical sizes: “Eight” for smaller text and “Twenty-four” for subheads.

The Madison Ave. family started from Madison Ave. at Fontstruct.com. As my most downloaded font, this was an easy, although not necessarily logical choice to make – regarding taking an existing free font and attempting to offer it for purchase. The font is very basic and simple in its layout, but has achieved popularity over at Dafont with almost 80,000 downloads with its cool, understated nature and inherent sophistication. The original Madison Ave. is now 95 Madison Ave. A couple of glyphs have changed from the original, but mostly the set is the same. The big news here is the availability of multiple variations on the original. Ninety-five refers to the filter settings used to achieve the faint cross lines in the font. The sequence 95-100 provides a gradual fade to solid effect when used together. The other versions use variations on the filter settings that allow each its own distinctive flavor, while at the same time maintaining inherent characteristics of the original. Ninety-five is now joined by 55, 75, 97, 99, 100, 102, 105, 155, 175, 201, 202, and 275. 100 is the solid version which doesn’t contain the trademark lines found in 95. In 95-99, the line width varies to achieve subtle effects. 50 and 85 are distorted by reducing the filter settings in a somewhat minimizing fashion. In 102-205, these are distorted by increasing the filter settings above the normal which is what 100 represents. While some of the effects are extreme and challenge the legibility of text, these can be fun or edgy. They offer a cohesion that can be used to advantage for different projects that require the use of a modern font family.

Balboat is a plain calligraphic face with a very small x-height, long descenders, and tall ascenders. Having the appearance of a pen-drawn sans serif, it has four styles: regular, bold, italic, and bold italic. Although Balboat is quite legible, it is condensed and may need to be printed at a larger point size than other typefaces.

Code Pro is a font family inspired by the original Sans Serif fonts like Avant Garde or Futura, but with a modern twist. It is clean, elegant and straight-to-the-point. Code font is applicable for any type of graphic design—web, print, motion graphics, etc.—and perfect for t-shirts and other items like posters and logos.

This is a funky hand lettered font that just begs to be used for coffeehouse promo. It is best when used in sizes above 16 points and is even better when used for posters where it can be printed in giant sizes. It was hand drawn in Fractal Designs Painter with lots of little Doo-Dads.

A comprehensive set of initials (usually referred to as Uncials, Lombardic Initials, or Lombards) of the French variety, adapted from Bergling, J.M. (1918), Art Alphabets and Lettering (Second Edition), Chicago: Blakely-Oswald Printing Company. The font contains over one hundred glyphs, including character outlines for two-color layering. Suitable to accompany most Gothic (especially Textura and Rotunda) and many Roman typefaces, or to be displayed as drop caps or in full titles and headings. Yseult is a ultra-romantic, elegant handwritten font, reminiscent of pre-Raphaelite beauties and classical paintings. It refers to the opera Tristan und Isolde (also spelt as Yseul, Isolda etc.) in three acts by Richard Wagner. The opera was based largely on the romance by Gottfried von Strassburg. Its design was influenced by Genevieve and, less directly, by Silver Dagger. Suggestions for use: - wedding stationery - greeting cards - valentines day media - beauty product media - lingerie tags - women's magazine pages - classical music media - theatre posters The font is fully professional: carefully letterspaced and kerned. It contains over 235 characters - (upper and lower case characters, punctuation, numerals, symbols and accented characters are present). (It has all the accented characters used in the major European languages).

Somersault is a nonchalant, rough edged, hand painted, brush font, with a spontaneous personality. With its natural charm it brings cheer and lightness to any design. Alternate characters for upper and lowercase letters and lots of ligatures enable you to avoid repetition of identical glyphs.They are managed by Opentype features such as stylistic alternates, swashes and discretionary ligatures. Somersault also comes with some fun extra's like strokes, hearts and splatters to play with. Somersault is PUA encoded, so no special design software is needed to access all glyphs. You can easily access all of them in Fontbook (Mac) or Character map (Windows). Somersault is paired with Somersault Tall, a complementary all caps font. The result is a versatile font duo. A perfect match.

Speedy Space Goat Oddity is the font with really interesting mood. My purpose was to transfer freedom, immediacy, and a bit of insanity with it. I've painted it with self-made paint and brush in a trippy environment. You can use Speedy Space Goat Oddity almost everywhere (not for body text). It's great for posters, clothes design, package design, music album covers. Also, with the right approach, you can use it as horror font. Rabona is a typeface for designers; easy to implement, clean and utilisable. A quintessentially modern geometric san-serif, filtered through a gently humanist lens.

A noisy, clumsy and spattered font. Comes with ligatures for double letters. You will need to use OpenType supporting applications to use the autoligatures.

The Bludgeon font was designed by Jon H. Clinch. The lively expressive and inky splashing letterforms of the Bludgeon font have a splattered appearance.

I come from a family of educators- my mom, husband, stepmom, brother-in-law, and sister are all currently teaching and I have taught in the past. This font was created after speaking to several elementary school teachers who were struggling to find just the right font to use on worksheets and projects in their classroom. They liked many features of other fonts, but needed small things altered in order to make a "perfect fit" for their class. Hand-drawn by me, this font hopefully addresses several of those issues. As penmanship styles vary across the globe, I am sure this font will not work in every classroom. But hopefully this style will work for many teachers to give their early readers a highly legible, neat, accurate font. It is best used with kerning turned on to allow for accurate letter spacing.

The collection Oro y Plata (Gold and Silver) is a Mexican style blackletter, dedicated to the three big silver cities – Taxco, Zacatecas and Guanajuato. Taxco is more angular compared to rounded Zacatecas and elaborate Guanajuato. The fonts contain small capitals, ligatures, initial forms, contextual alternates and other OpenType features. The special feature is a stylistic set of superscript caps with possibility to underline them. It supports all the European languages using Latin alphabet.

Pitcher is a bold brush with roots in 1940s and 1950s Americana. Pitcher is great for sports team or bar logos, beer labels or anything where you need a strong sturdy script with lots of character. Pitcher is equipped with several OpenType features - keep on Standard Ligatures and Contextual Alternates for smooth connections between letters. Try Swash or Titling Alternates when you need more customised headlines or when designing a logo and look for Glyph Palette for even more alternates. Born in 1831, Hermann Berthold was the son of a calico-printer. On completion of his apprenticeship as a precision-instrument maker and after practical experience gained abroad in galvanography, Hermann Berthold founded his "Institute for Galvano Technology" in Berlin in 1858. Very quickly he discovered a method of producing circular lines from brass and not, as customary at that time, from lead or zinc. The soldering normally necessary could also be dispensed with. The lines were elastic and therefore highly durable. They produced outstandingly fine results. Most of German's letterpress printers and many printers abroad placed their orders with Berthold. His products became so popular that the print trade popularized the saying "As precise as Berthold brass". In 1878 Hermann Berthold was commissioned to put an end to the confusion of typographic systems of measurement. With the aid of Professor Foerster he succeeded in devising a basic unit of measurement (1m = 2,660 typographic points). This was the birth of the first generally binding system of typographic measurement. It is still used in the trade. Hermann Berthold served as the head of the Berthold type foundry until 1888.

Wood Type Grotesk JNL was re-drawn from a set of vintage wood type purchased from a closed rubber stamp shop. Although the style of lettering is referred to in old type catalogs as a "grotesk" face, in truth the lettering has charm and effectively gets the printed point across to the reader. This typeface is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Cycles was designed for use in books and other publications with lengthy texts and/or complex typography using different sizes of type. Different versions of Cycles have been designed which are optimized for setting at specific point sizes as was the practice in the days of metal type. Together with Stone Print, SFPL, and Arepo it makes up a superfamily of typefaces.

Vladimir Script is a brush-style font, similar to the kind of lettering found on old hand-painted department store signs during the 1950s. The letters have a steep slant, and the uppercase letters and the numbers are rather informal. Many of the letters' strokes end in looped terminals, some with dynamic amounts of contrast. Vladimir Script is best used in larger point sizes, where its subtle details can dance across the page. The typeface looks fabulous on signs and cards.

The decorative font "SchoolType" came straight from our school notebooks. We painted these letters in our notebooks, but now they can be printed on a computer.
