RFX elegant is an elegant bolder typeface that looks modern and defies previous conventions. Is it a serif typeface? Yes and no. Although it doesn't actually have serifs, the curves give it the elegance of serifs. The curves make it look pleasing and friendly, but the breaks still give it a strong character. It can be used mixed and versal. It is ideal for occasions where friendliness and beauty meet elegance and character. It also offers language support for the entire European region, as well as for North & South America and Oceania.

This late Victorian typeface flirts with Art Nouveau sensibilities, as evidenced by the graceful curves and the decorative crossmembers in several of the uppercase letters. The result is a font that combines simple, understated elegance with a no-nonsense, workmanlike stance. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

Jambo ('hello' in Swahili) is a cute and bouncy typeface. I guess you can say that it is didone-ish in nature, but comic would also be an apt description. Jambo has generous curves, swirls and curls and comes with a jumbo amount of diacritics.

Bertolessi is a Roman face made fun, with a healthy dose of filigree curves thrown into the mix. It's an ideal compliment to our extensive Bertoni family, but can be used anywhere a bit of humour and flair is required. Get with the curls!

Tilp Barde is a striking, moderately dynamic design suitable for many different typographic tasks. Its individual ductus is inspired by handwriting, however without calligraphic embellishment. There are no serifs but tiny endings which lead to think of wood-carving.

Pomponianus comes from a 4th century inscription found in North Africa. It is an attractive example of early uncial lettering. Uncial inscriptions are quite uncommon, because although the style was well suited for writing on vellum, the curved letters made it more difficult to carve in stone.

Aeron started with a no-nonsense geometric sans-serif structure that grew into a functional semi-serif family of fonts. Half-rounded slabs mix with curvy and squared-off terminals for a personable yet structured family that works in all sizes.

LineDrive was inspired by an obscure 19th century type design. It has no curved lines and what are normally circular elements in the lower-case letters are diamond-shaped. It might work best with only upper-case letters, which have a Victorian feel to them. In addition to the two weights of plain and bold, the family includes a shadowed version and an inline (or outlined) version.

Zanardini it’s a bold serif display font with a high contrast between the stem width and between sharp and curvy terminals and slab / egyptian serifs. All the glyphs was freehand drawn so the curves are strong and they create more interesting shapes in the negative space between the letters. Use it irresponsibly!

Porker was an experiment in making a barely readable but very simple and very bold typeface with no curves. It is caps only with some of the letters on the lower-case keys giving alternate versions. Include are three variants, a tall version, a striped version, and a randomized version. The striped version can be placed in a layer above the regular version to give two-colored letters.

Falstaff first appeared with Monotype in 1931, an alphabet in the style of a wide, bold antiqua that was especially popular in the first third of the 19th century. Such typefaces distinguished themselves through their consistent basis in the transitional antiqua style. They are characterized by their extremely fine unflexed serifs with no curve connecting them to the thick strokes. The numerals with their generous curves and ball-like stroke endings and beginnings are particularly decorative. The vertical strokes are dominant and give lines of this typeface a column-like and therefore static look. Falstaff is today often used for book titling, especially for mystery novels. It is best used sparingly in middle and larger point sizes.

The characters of Skagwae have no curves, just straight line segments. The letter shapes themselves are fairly standard, but the choppy line segments used to construct them give the fonts a crude, unfinished look that is highlighted at large point sizes. At small point sizes the fonts are surprisingly legible. The family has nine styles. The regular, bold, italic, bold italic, shadow, and shadow inside styles are proportionally spaced. Shadowinside is very similar to regular but is spaced to be used in a layer with the shadow style. SkagwaeMono-Regular and SkagwaeMono-Bold are monospaced versions of the family. A third monospaced style, SkagwaeMono-Rippled, is a distorted version with squiggly lines full of curves.

The LifeAfterCollege family began as a set of four fonts based on two styles of Ranger, which are slab-serif, geometric fonts with no curves. Two of the four are outlines with hollow insides, and two have-filled insides. The two fonts that are outlined have been taken apart and made into three typeface that can be layered. This allows one color for the inside, another for the middle ring, and a third for the outside outline.

Onyon is a bizarre typeface with vertical stems that thicken in the middle and narrow at the ends. It was created as an experiment to see what a typeface would look like if the vertical stems were diamond or rhombus shaped. The letters are angular with unusual triangular serifs and they have no curves. It is a harsh, cruel typeface that will make your eyes water if you use it at small point sizes for text.

The Hobo font is a dynamically tapering face in which all strokes are accentuated curves, achieving a superb decorative effect. I wanted to mix the handmade look with both comic and grafitti, but leaving an organic laid back feeling. The result is this: Pausefisk. A font with smooth, handdrawn curves and a total of 6 different versions of each letter. Pausefisk is actually something from my childhood: when the TV-programs where finished (yes, there were no TV after midnight!) the only thing to see was a camera pointed at a fishtank...and that went on for hours!

Misses Twiggs is a contemporary modern serif created by the American type designer Alex Kaczun. It compliments its partner Mister Twiggs and is a perfect marriage of two fonts. Mister Twiggs brings his tall good looks and Misses Twiggs bring her cute little serifs to the relationship. There are absolutely no curves in these elegant typefaces. Both fonts have sharp corners with extra tall capitals and narrow waistlines. Misses Twiggs also comes in 3 flavors: regular, thin and heavy.

Argot is inspired by condensed grotesque letterforms and would be a monolinear sans except for an unorthodox disparity between inner and outer shapes. No prizes for guessing this font family was inspired by the 1950s - the sounds (Buddy, Eddie, Elvis), the styles (polka dots, petticoats and Dior's New Look), and the kitsch, from furry dice above the dashboard to plaster ducks over the mantlepiece! A particular point of reference is the furnishings and fabrics of the Fifties (with their distinctive kidney shapes and angular curves) as showcased in the Festival of Britain 1951. And now something completely different. Keks has broken elements like a blackletter typeface, but the actual forms are roman. That keeps it very legible although there is no curve at all. What was the inspiration for designing the font? Blackletter has an interesting history here in Germany. We need to find contemporary interpretations for this tradition. Viktor Solt-Bittner drew logo sketches for an insurance company. Luckily for Schriftlabor, they rejected the design, and he turned the sketches into a font family. Years later, Plantago was expanded, developed and completed by Schriftlabor’s type directors Franziska Hubmann and Lisa Schultz. Plantago shows delicate leaf-like stroke endings and subtle curvings and offers condensed and wide variants.
