Fushar Arabic is a bold comic color font family which comes in 5 layer-styles easy to compose in a multicolor manner and 3 OpenType-SVG color styles to make the work faster and easier. Character set covers Latin A-Z all caps, Arabic, Persian and Urdu with 230 ligatures, European, Arabic and Persian / Urdu localized digits, punctuation, currencies and other symbols - the total of 729 glyphs. The idea came from a custom logotype I made several years ago for a local charity organisation that helps children. Stabia is a multi-purpose typeface with large wedge-angular serifs. It is delicate and highly readable at very small sizes but reveals all its strength and personality when used at big sizes. Stabiae was an ancient Roman town, located close to the modern town of Castellammare di Stabia approximately 4.5 km southwest of Pompeii. According to the account written by his nephew, Pliny the Elder was at the other side of the bay in Misenum when the Mount Vesuvius eruption started. He travelled by galley ship across the bay, partly to observe the eruption more closely, and partly to rescue people from the coast near the volcano. Pliny died at Stabiae the following day, probably during the arrival of the sixth and largest pyroclastic surge of the eruption caused by the collapse of the eruption plume.

The island of Fuerteventura is more known for its white sand beaches and windsurf-friendly constant winds than for its typographic marvels. Still, it's on the walls of a ballroom next to its white-sand beaches that Debora Manetti found the hand-painted letterforms that she took as inspiration for her typeface Sala de Fiestas. The resulting font was a condensed sans serif full of curious details and a jumpy latino vibe that many years after still keeps its freshness and vernacular charme. Francesco Canovaro took the original typeface as a starting point for a grand tour into sign-painter aesthetics, developing a reboot of the original into a new type family: Salad. While being faithful to the original proportions and feeling, Salad provides extreme versatility through its five-weights range, its extended charset and its set of Open Type features including stylistic sets, alternates, positional numerals, small capitals and case sensitive forms. Lopsickles is a family in which the letters are based on lopsided, distorted ellipses. The family has four sets of letters that are combined in six different ways, yielding six fonts. Four of these fonts (styles AB, Ad, Bc, and cd) use the OpenType feature Contextual Alternatives (calt) to alternate letter sets so that top-heavy characters alternate with bottom-heavy characters. The spacing in these fonts is designed for alternating characters and will result in overlap if the characters do not alternate. The other two styles (Ac and Bd) are spaced normally. Style Ac contains the two character sets that are top heavy and style Bd has the two character sets that are bottom heavy. The Ac and Bd fonts have italics and backslanted styles that may be useful to suggest speed. Each of these ten fonts has an inset style designed to be used in a layer above the base font. This layering can be used to give the effect of hollow letters or to add a colored interior. Lopsickles joins several other alternating-characters families in the IngrimayneType library including Snuggels, CloseTogether, and Caltic, but is visually very different from them. Bold, black and square. But was first drawn as a logotype for the magazine "BUT – Bilder und Texte" (pictures and texts) which was published by an experimentally-oriented non-commercial initiative. In consideration of the unusual dimensions of the magazine (6 x 14 cm / 2,4 x 5,5 inch), I decided to fill as much space as possible with the body of type. This formal idea refers to the meaning of the title by blurring the border between legible letters and abstract shapes. Because of its origin, But is ideal for short messages in headline point size. Despite its blocky shapes, But creates a friendly atmosphere. The details are as playful as the restrictions that are given by the concept allow them to be. Punctuation marks and other special characters contrast the boldness of the design since they are matching the thin parts of upper- and lowercase letters. Back in 2006 when we first released our Happy Holidays font, we thought the War on Christmas was over! We'd taken down our Menorahs, our Christmas trees, reclining Buddhas and red, black and green Kwanzaa decorations, and were prepared to sprinkle nothing more than a little Season's Greetings over our end of year celebrations. When we saw our friends and neighbors at department stores, we'd greet them with a simple, cordial, non-denominational “Happy Holidays.” But the font showed up at our company party this year having learned over 200 new languages (and, it must be said, a little bit loaded on Stylistic Alternates) in a mood to celebrate EVERYTHING. It was wishing people happy Bodhi Day, Solstice, Festivus, you name it! It even brought (count 'em) THREE new outfits based on the colors of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. So may the designs on the cups of the hot beverages that take you through the long dark coffee break of the soul that stretches from Halloween to Thanksgiving to New Year's Day be a little more festive this year with the refreshed, Remastered, all-inclusive spirit of Happy Holidays!

Upon numerous demands of highly esteemed users of our fonts I decided to supplement the Walbaum type family by display and poster cuts. Because I obviously cannot compete with world’s renowned type foundries which already offer a number of renderings of forenamed typeface, I thought proper to decline a bit from the original Walbaum’s design, strictly speaking, from the apprehension we commonly keep about this typeface. Therefore I didn’t set forth the way of modernizing (shame!), but rather the opposite direction: towards an analysis of the original neo-classical intention. I took the 10-point character, magnified it enormously and cut off progressively all the optically thickened bobbles which raised by small-size correction. I ended up at the size of about 120 points, where it became obvious that any further thinning would lead to an undesired manneristic fragility. Resulting 8-member family Walbaum 120 is naturally usable in variety of sizes, as well as cuts marked “10” you can use, say, from 6 to 30 points. I only hope that mister Justus Erich won’t pull me by the ear when we’ll meet on the other side...

Gothic fraktur inspired design, I wanted to resemble old german calligraphy but making it very geometric, so I used an isometric reticle during sketching. This is a display font, created for BIG sizes, non textual. I recommend it for branding, poster, logos or titles. Its very experimental -- it exists within the limits of legible and illegible reading. I choose the name “Garbancera” because gothic calligraphy has issues that are linked with dark, gloomy, lugubrious things or fear feelings, culturally in Mexico. I related this with death and for mexicans, death is something we celebrate and give us joy and happiness, annoying, the most representative Mexican characters, one of those is “La Calavera Garbancera” or better known as “La Catrina”, a clothes skeleton with only a hat. It was drawn this way to make a critic to all Mexicans at that time, that were poor but they wanted to represent a high lifestyle, “those that where to the bones, but with a French hat with ostrich feathers”. La Catrina was created by José Guadalupe Posada, a Mexican lithographer but also a newspaper illustrator. I think this is a beautiful font that can lead to great results, just use it wisely.

In 1980, Peter Malutzki, Heidi Hübner-Prochotta and Manfred Prochotta founded the FlugBlatt-Presse and began producing broadsheets, which they called FlugBlätter and which also gave their press its name. They were mostly woodcuts or linocuts, combined with hand-set typography. When they finished the series in 1984 there were 67 FlugBlätter. During a Frankfurt Book Fair in the 1980s the collector Rob Saunders acquired FlugBlatt No. 37 along with other prints. Later they became part Letterform Archive, a non-profit museum and special collection library in San Francisco, which Rob Saunders founded in 2014. In 2021, Letterform Archive posted the FlugBlatt No. 37 on social media, where type designer Lena Schmidt saw it, immediately fell in love with it, and developed the plan to bring it into the digital world. After contacting Peter Malutzki – who is still working as a book artist today – and in close consultation with him, Schmidt translated the letterforms into a font series, Malutzki Initials. The three fonts can be used for black (single-color) text using the Regular style, or for multicolor text by applying different colors to the Letter Layer and Figure Layer styles.

FF Nort™ has all the design attributes that make for an exceptionally versatile print and web typeface – and it benefits from a distinct personality. Drawn by Jörg Hemker, the inspiration for FF Nort came from Transport, the typeface designed for Britain’s highway signage. Transport is formal, intellectual, and a model for modern street signage, but it was not intended for small sizes or continuous reading. Hemker took the basic structure of Transport and rebuilt it into a design that’s perfect for a wide range of contemporary hardcopy and digital imaging projects.

Klatter is a font that is "in your face". It can't be ignored, and draws attention to itself no matter how noisy the environment. It is available in three styles: - Klatter Regular is a clean, spunky, non-grunge font that uses a combination of straight lines and sharp angles to make a strong, no-nonsense statement; - Klatter SmallCaps, in which the lower case is a true "small caps" and not a shrunken version of the upper case (generated by the operating system); - Klatter Grunge is based on Klatter Regular but is "dirty" and messy, giving the impression of printing problems and wet ink being smudged. Unlike many other grunge fonts, Klatter Grunge is a font that is full of character. Both styles have a full character set with upper and lower case, numerals and mathematical symbols, as well as a full set of accented and special characters. The font has been carefully letter-spaced and kerned and the vertical spacing has been appropriately set. Klatter Grunge and Regular are appropriately purchased together since they complement one another when used in the same graphic design job.

It took me 12 years to bring this extensive font family to completion. A lot has been changed, transformed, peeled and developed in all those years. For many of my projects I used it as my quarry and so it might have become something like a synthesis of all my imaginations and experiences. To me »Schnebel Sans« represents the optimal design of a contemporary grotesque that perfectly unites dynamics with statics. For copy text the typefaces are very legible, neutrally and remain in the background, but despite this generate the necessary tension when set as headlines. »Schnebel Sans« is available in 48 different styles. It is available as a Pro Font, containing West, East Greek, and Cyrillic or as the Schnebel Sans ME, also containing Arabic and Hebrew. The scripts include small caps and various figure sets. Mellow Sans is a soft and friendly rounded sans serif. Its bold styles are great for packages of something tasty, while light and regular ones work well in rather long texts, from a children's book to a reading app, or a family restaurant menu. The typeface was created by Natalya Vasilyeva, an expert in designing text and calligraphic typefaces. Mellow Sans’s forms are based on humanist sans serifs. The nobility and liveliness of Renaissance calligraphy reads beneath its curves and makes the typeface even friendlier, while helping the eye to move along the line. The typeface supports extended Latin, extended Cyrillic (all major languages of the Russia’s peoples) and Greek. It also has old style figures, arrows and non-alphabetic signs. With Mellow Sans as a heading typeface (in that case bold styles fit the best), calm open sans serifs, f.e. Vast or Fact, are its optimal text companions on the screen. Calm serifs, f. e., Octava, Scientia or Aelita, will work as its companions on paper. And to create expressive typography, for example, in packaging, you can match Mellow Sans with quirky rounded serifs — Cooper or Epice.

In 1458, Charles VII sent the Frenchman Nicolas Jenson to learn the craft of movable type in Mainz, the city where Gutenberg was working. Jenson was supposed to return to France with his newly learned skills, but instead he traveled to Italy, as did other itinerant printers of the time. From 1468 on, he was in Venice, where he flourished as a punchcutter, printer and publisher. He was probably the first non-German printer of movable type, and he produced about 150 editions. Though his punches have vanished, his books have not, and those produced from about 1470 until his death in 1480 have served as a source of inspiration for type designers over centuries. His Roman type is often called the first true Roman." Notable in almost all Jensonian Romans is the angled crossbar on the lowercase e, which is known as the "Venetian Oldstyle e." Jenson Old Style™ was designed by Freda Sack and Colin Brignall for Letraset in 1982. Because of its darkness, this version is best used for display designs that call for a sense of old-world elegance and solidity."

Senkron is composed of "normal" and a "blok" styles. Senkron ("normal") was designed as a pure and modern neo grotesk font. The anatomy of the letters are designed to achieve an equal text color. For this purpose, the legs of the letters “R” and "K" are designed with a vertical angle to prevent the white space that would occur in the middle of these letters. In the minuscule, the characteristic features of letters such as ‘a’, ‘l’, ‘t’ are concretized and legibility is supported in the text. Considerable attention has been paid to the harmony between the anatomical structures of the letters and the diacritical mark’s structure. Senkron Blok is arranged for situations which have diacritical marks overflow to leadings of the headline and headline typographical color is affected negatively from this situation. For this purpose, majuscule diacritical letters are resolved within the letter height. However, when this is done, new forms are obtained by integrated diacritical marks with letters instead of directly merging them. The idea behind this approach is to preserve the typographic value of diacritical marks and emphasize the semantic value of diacritical letters. 82 letters have been redesigned in this way.
