This font, is dedicated to all the Russian and non-Russian Babushkas around the world. This font was created using a flat brush and Chinese ink. After that I scanned all the letters and numbers and created the real font. Designed by Giuseppe Salerno, in the 2011. You can even watch a video on YouTube showing how Babushka was hand-drawn by the artist.

DubTone is simple sans serif font with a halftone texture from an old newspaper scan on an old flatbed scanner. This font was created for a movie poster in 2003 and then finally converted to a font in 2012. Each of the characters were individually designed with care to make sure that in small or large sizes it remained readable with a unique texture.

Pisang Manis means ‘sweet banana’ in Bahasa Indonesia. I don’t think this particular combination is used in everyday life, but it sounds nice. Pisang Manis is based on an older font of mine, called Pisang, which I created in 2013. It looks similar, but it is a different font altogether. Pisang Manis is a ‘Tall & Thin’ display font, ideally used for product packaging, websites and book covers.

On October 12th 1976 a new basilica was inaugurated in honor and in gratitude to the Patron Saint, the Virgin of Guadalupe, loved by the Mexican people. This basilica was designed by the Mexican architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez (died on April 16th 2012). It stands out by its hug spacious interior, generously decorated with bronze elements. The aesthetic value of these items even includes many signs and text inscriptions in a particular typeface and style, of which this font is a reinterpretation. The purpose of this project is to revival this eclesiastical written letter forms in bronze and taking them to digital format. I was inspired to this on my last trip to Mexico in September of 2012.

26 Mythical or mysterious Creatures. A highly decorative font where each creature form the letters A to Z. The upper case letters have detailed creatures/letters while the lower case hold silhouettes of the same creatures. Amador. Designed in 2004 by Jim Parkinson. Originally released as a Type 1 font, Amador was refreshed (version2) and re-released as simple Open Type in 2012. A blackletter designed in the spirit of the Arts and Crafts movement. The works of Frederic Goudy and Rudolf Koch are also reflected in this design.

For the angular, blocky look, the future is Ferrocarbon! Designed primarily as a title font, I created it way back in 2013 and promptly forgot about, so I'm releasing it to the world now. it's meant to be used for your tech and sci-fi uses, but don't let us stop you there!

Yuli is my daughter - she was born on February 13th, 2014. I named this font after her, because there are some similarities. Both are bouncy and happy, playful and quirky, funny and happy - and above all: cute and cuddly. Yuli font was loosely based on Bodoni and Spumoni - two typefaces I like a lot. Yuli speaks a lot of languages.

A colorful floral book that I found at a flea market inspired me to make the font Herbarium. What started as floral letter illustrations in 2009 has now developed into a writable font. My main intention was to make each letter like a little artwork so that they all could fit as a drop cap. Herbarium is also a good choice for headlines.

Bely is the first design by French newcomer Roxane Gataud. Too many typefaces are either governed by fear and never accomplish what they could, or are unrestrained which results in their frenetic dangling like a leaf caught in a spider’s web. Bely’s strength is that it has both restraint and freedom throughout the text weights and into the unique display weight. The inspiration source for MFC Phonograph Monogram is a vintage monogram specimen named “Kent” showing only a CBA sample. It was a style I could find no other reference for, but was desperate to recreate this record like styling of monogram. Finally, it all comes to life in MFC Phonograph Monogram. I even threw in a little dog and phonograph icons hidden in the font as decorative icons reminicent of old Victrola records. Phonograph Monogram supports two and three letter monograms, although the two letter style break from the circular record design and creates a zulu style shield design. MFC Phonograph Monogram uses the Ligatures feature, available in most OpenType savvy applications, such as Adobe Illustrator CS (see Fig. 1). The Ligatures feature is typically enabled automatically, but you may need to confirm this in your program if you are not certain. If any second lowercase letter typed does not automatically switch to form the right side of the rounded form, you do not have Ligatures enabled.

Sudtipos is proud to announce the release of Découpe, a display typeface program of eight fonts, designed by María Carla Mazzitelli and born during her Masters in Typography at the University of Buenos Aires (FADU-UBA). Inspired by gestural graphic expressions –like paper cut-outs (découpes) and spontaneous handwriting– from the most diverse postmodern and contemporaneous artists of the design world, Découpe has been created specifically to be used in big sizes. A little bit irreverent and effervescent from time to time, this gestural sans serif family reveals its contrasts and asymmetrical shapes when it breaks through display functions. From Light to Extra Bold, it reaches the most extreme weights, looking for power and impact. This program is meant to catch the eye in typographic compositions, to shout it out loud and clear. Definitely, to be seen. *Découpe has been recently selected to be part of different typography exhibitions such as Tipos Latinos and the Type Directors Club.

Neubau is a condensed geometric display typeface, designed in 2009. The inspiration for this face came from Joost Schmidt lowercase letters developed during 1925-28 in Bauhaus Dessau. Schmidt was one of the proponents of New Typography – a movement advocating the use of only lowercase letters which were constructed strictly geometrically using only ruler and compass. Neubau Pro is the new edition of Neubau fonts. The new typeface is an upgraded version of an old fonts (2009), with careful refinements to glyph shapes, and the extension of glyph amounts which enabled support of more Latin languages as well as Greek and Cyrillic languages. Neubau Pro is released in six styles with small caps, and true italics, and contains OpenType features. This typeface can be used for editorials and print designs.
