ITC Tremor is the work of British designer Alan Dempsey. You might think that it looks like the letters are in a seismically lively geological zone, but Dempsey had other kinds of motion in mind. Most of the faces I design come from trace 'work-outs' for advertising products. In the case of Tremor, it was to reflect a lively teenager," says Dempsey. The result is ITC Tremor, a cartoony slab serif typeface with irregular angles, straight-edged curves, and lines surrounding each character, making them look like they are jittery.

Carta is a map font designed at Adobe by Lynne Garell in 1986. Carta's development began with the study of a variety of maps from sources such as the U.S. Geological Survey and National Geographic. A diverse set of symbols, Carta can be used in city planning, travel, socio-economic, and survey maps.

BRIGNELL BIG is a two font family designed by Ian Brignell. Bold and honest, it approaches like a dare: Go Big no regrets. A bold, personable sans serif headline font characterized by a stylized and geometric structure. Creatively, Brignell Big was born in 2011 and was inspired by lettering designs Ian was working on for CO Bigelow packaging that harkened back to early 20th century modern sans serifs. Oilvare is a hand-drawn, layered typeface inspired by vintage painted signs and oil cans. While sturdy, it also has a softer side—wide proportions, oval-inspired forms, curled angle strokes, and a medium contrast all help give it a little bit of distinction from the typical sans serif. Mix, match, and layer the styles to your liking. Carefully drawn, when you enlarge the typefaces, the subtle irregularities become more apparent and harken to hand lettering of the past.

A photo of the now closed [circa-1953] Lowell Municipal Pool (at 1601 N. 28th St.) in Boise, Idaho shows the words “Municipal Pool” formed into the cement of the entrance to the above-ground swimming facility. Both the lettering and building entrance designs harken back to the Art Deco era and the sign features stencil-like characters. This inspired a typeface aptly named Municipal Pool JNL, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Miramar font has elegance in every detail, which means that it isn't very easy to use. I like it very much, but would use it myself on rare occurencies, for very special tasks and even then in small portions. The name refers to the castle of Miramar just north of Trieste on the Adriatic coast, once the weekend resort of the Austrian imperial family. Now it is a museum with a marvellous park. Miramar was released in 1993.

I like Carrot Juice a lot. I don’t drink it that often (and I should, really), but nothing beats a freshly squeezed glass of cold carrot juice!! Carrot Juice font is a lovely script font: handmade with love (and a rather cheap Chinese brush pen which I bought online). Carrot Juice will come in handy when you need that handmade look - cookbooks, websites and product packaging spring to mind. Comes with a abundant harvest of diacritics.

Pontif is a typeface based on the inscriptional lettering work of Luca Horfei, the Vatican scribe who designed the major inscriptions for Pope Sixtus V's Baroque-makeover of Rome in the sixteenth century. Garrett Boge modeled the design on a Horfei manuscript and on-site research in Rome in 1996. Pontif is part of the LetterPerfect Baroque Set.

Goudy Type was designed by Frederic Goudy for ATF in 1916. He endeavored to create a lively design with some brush-lettering qualities. In his words, he believed he was still attempting to ‘find himself’ as a designer. Thirty years later he was shown the design and could hardly recollect its creation. Steve Matteson has digitized Goudy Type to preserve its place in typographic history.

It's a font designed to remind you of milk bubbles. Curved strokes were used to add a bouncy feeling, and jasos were designed in various sizes to make them look rich when making. Numbers and English, which contain a bouncy feeling like Hangeul, can feel a more lively atmosphere when used together through rhythmically designed writing lines.

Here's another mosaic marvel from the New York subway system, to complement Midtown Tessie. This style is based on signage at the 34th Street station, with connections to Brooklyn. A full tile background is available at the bar position, and a marvelous meander can be found at the German double-s spot. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

Tisdall Script is based upon the brush-drawn script lettering of Hans Tisdall, who was the designer of many distinctive lettered book jackets for Jonathan Cape in the 1950s. Michael Harvey, also a designer of lettered book jackets, long admired Tisdall’s style and so, with the blessing of his widow, designed this typographic tribute. The augmented Tisdall Script Plus version, has many alternative characters and ligatures, together with Opentype features, to enable their automatic substitution where the application in which they are used permits.

Introducing Bronc Stomper; Bronc Stomper got its start from an old logo design used by the New York and Harlem Railroad in 1904.

Prolexia is designed to make the font friendly towards those with dyslexia. All the characters are unique with no rotation or mirroring, this makes it harder for the mind to mix up similar glyphs. I used to live in the English Lake District - in a town called Ambleside to be precise. It was a nice time in my life, as living in the Lake District gave me the opportunity to go out every day and enjoy the beautiful nature! Troutbeck is a small, old fashioned village on the narrow and hilly road from Windermere to Penrith. If you ever make it there, you will discover that the area is a walhalla for hikers! Troutbeck font is a pleasing, handmade all caps font. It would look great on product packaging or book covers, or maybe postcards reading ‘Greetings from the Lake District’.

ITC Ozwald was designed by David Farey and is a revival of a little-known typeface of American type designer Oswald Cooper called Cooper Fullface. The original was intended to be a modernized version of Bodoni and Farey captured all the charm, wit and creativity of the original in ITC Ozwald.
