Adso was born out of a research that studied the possibility of reintroducing Gothic writing in our contemporary world. Amherst is a family of blackletter-inspired typefaces. This family, created by British designer Richard Yeend in 2002, is unique in that it mains the feel of blackletter/medieval type without relying directly on historical forms.
