Sofa Bird is my name for a laid back and relaxed comic font, with a twist of handcraft mixed with adventurous penmanship!

Although this condensed type is ideal for titles and headlines, it has small caps and letters with diacritical marks included as well. It keeps readability at mind, while trying to be as much "done-by-hand" as it can. It has unique tears on each edge of each letter and tilting on certain "slices of tape".

Don Sans is a sturdy display sans which evokes the invironment of old-day industrialism, steamers, locomotives and other machinery; dusty back-yard workshops and the glamorous air of backstage life. A down-to-earth font from the hand of a mother from a time when writing was something still done with accuracy and poise. This font evokes motherly memories that you cannot let die, memories of a woman who didn't have it easy, who never gave up, and who made sacrifices for her children.

Here is another attempt to create a font for invitation work unlike any already out in the world. In casting about for a name, I decided to call it Valerie after Valerie Hope, a mindreader of days long gone, who played California theatres in the 1930s and 1940s. And who, incidentally, was my mother.

The letters of ShirlyUJest have serifs that have gone wild, crossing over themselves, giving them the look of overgrown vegetation. It is weird and bizarre and out of control; the name says it all. It is caps-only with the lower-case keys containing the glyphs identical to those on the upper-case keys.

JY&A’s most distinctive calligraphic font, Yan Series 333 is usable at all resolutions and remains legible. Hand lettering done in a playfully distinct Art Nouveau style comprised the title on the cover of the 1916 sheet music for the song “Your Mother is Your Best Friend After All”. This served at the working model for Sunshine Nouveau JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

It’s a brand new year, but I have been going back in time. To the seventies to be precise. A ‘bubblegum’ font was on the top of my to-do list, so when it was finally finished, it reminded me of seventies posters. As if by magic, a catchy bassline started playing in my head and before I knew it, Boney M appeared - all dressed up in Purple and singing Daddy Cool. Cool Daddy is a fat, rounded bubblegum font, which will take you back to the decade of moustaches, afros and glitter. This ultra groovy font will funk up your designs 4-sho. A font inspired from Henri Matisse’s cutouts and color palette. The font was created from outlining forms without being constrained by any reason or rational proportions. It has a deliberately disorienting and unsettling tone. Tension exists throughout sometimes clear and abrupt lines, creating a vibrant and rebellious font. It’s best used for short and bold headlines or titles. This font shouts attention.

Goddard is based on some very unsual lettering by Art Nouveau period calligrapher Samuel Welo.
