A crispbake is a kind of cracker or rusk you eat for breakfast. At least, in Holland we do. They are called 'beschuit', they are round and they come in a pack of 13 (which is a baker's dozen). It turns out that this odd number of crispbakes in a pack comes from the fact that the ovens they were baked in held 13 crispbakes in a row and it was easier to pack them like that. So, should this question pop up during a game of trivial pursuit, you now know the answer! Crispbake font is a crunchy brush font. Completely handmade using a brush and Chinese ink. Printed Letters JNL is from stamped impressions made by a children's sign making set by the Superior Marking Equipment Company of Chicago - circa the 1940's. The set consisted of individually mounted rubber stamps - easy enough for happy kiddies to print signs, name plates or (unfortunately for their parents) on the walls... Limited character set.

Will Ransom designed the uppercase letters in this typeface for Barnhart Brothers & Spindler in the 1920s, under the name Clearcut Shaded Caps. The lowercase letters come from another BB&S typeface named Clearcut Italic. An elegant headline face, best used sparingly, the font includes decorative flourishes in the brace, bracket and en dash positions.

A gothic blackletter font named after the Parler master builder family which built the Schwaebisch Gmuend cathedral. This font contains a bunch of useful ligatures, and by typing 'N', 'o' and period plus activating the Ordinals feature you get an oldstyle numbersign. In 1921 the Klingspor foundry released Walter Tiemann’s Narziss™. This beautiful and elegant font was completely redrawn and redesigned and extended to cover major European languages East and West. Shift, Alphabet keys will give you caps Mah Jongg characters, tiles beside a letter of the alphabet. The "lower case" alphabet is the same letter font used in the caps but without a tile. The regular keys "1 through 9" are the actual Crack tiles with the correct oriental glyph. Numerals to match the "lower case" are found using Shift and the Number keys. Weekly: a slab serif that wants to be a sans. The font was created under the premise that it can be used as a sans: a fresh design without that retro feel typical of slab fonts. As a result, we developed an Egyptienne font—more simple compared to others of its kind, a feature that gives it its unique personality. Weekly was based on fonts with humanist proportions, such as ‘Oficina’ and ‘Caecilia’, both created in the ’90s. Typefaces like these give designers the possibility to use them in books or magazines, in contrast to geometric slab fonts or early 20th century fat faces, which are mainly used for advertising or display text. Another feature that reminds us of humanist sans fonts is the small difference between x-height and cap-height. Some characters in Weekly like ‘a’ or ‘g’ lack serifs and some like ‘c’ or ’s’ have short serifs, giving it a semi-serif air. Weekly comes in both light and heavy weights. The heavier ones bear resemblance to Egyptienne slab serif typefaces with strong personality. These variants are ideal for use in posters and big, powerful headings.
