Banco was the first typeface work of French designer Roger Excoffon and was released in 1952. The strong forms look as though they were rolled out of sheet metal and feature upright, tapering strokes. The slight slant, the varying heights of stroke ends, and the relationships between line and curve give Banco font its sense of liveliness and dynamism. Excoffon did not design a matching lower case alphabet for his capitals, but this was accomplished later by Phill Grimshaw, who also designed the light weight. He deliberately 'underdesigned' the lower case forms, producing a more reserved alphabet based on the design ideas of the original.

Book Country first appeared on a poster for "New York is Book Country". It was inspired by the lettering of Ben Shahn protesting the 1927 execution of Italian radicals Nicolo Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti. The letterforms effected an urgent and powerful message. The font includes a derived lower case and an OpenType contextual feature which maintains the rhythm of the uneven baseline when characters repeat to mitigate the stiff, mechanical feeling that occurs when casual lettering is typeset.

Martin Wilke designed the dynamic calligraphic typeface New Berolina in 1965. The light line of the strokes and the strong stroke contrast lets New Berolina dance across the page. Broad, generous capitals complement beautifully the narrower lower case characters with their low x-height. The capitals can also be used as initials. Used carefully and with generous line spacing, New Berolina will lend any text a fresh, lively look.

The letters in this font are made by chopping bits from footprints. Individual letters are sometimes very hard to decipher, but when put together as words they are usually readable. In Pedestrisan-Regular, the original version of this font, the upper-case letters have toes on the top the lower case letters have toes on the bottom. All the feet with letters are right feet. The upper case and lower case do not mix. In 2020 two alternate versions were created. In Pedestrian-Alt all toes are on the top but the lower-case letters are left feet. In Pedestrian-AltTwo all toes are on the bottom with the upper-case letters being cut from left feet and the lower case from right feet. Both the alternate styles also have an alternate set of numbers on the unicode circled numbers that can also be accessed with an OpenType feature.

SansduskiMono is a sans-serif decorative/display family that is monospaced. Its very high x-height and tight spacing make it more suitable for use at large point sizes than small point sizes. (There are better options if one wants a readable text font.) The letter O is a rectangle with rounded corners and this shape motif is carried over to other characters that are usually rounded. The origin of this face is in a previous typeface, BigStripesMono. That family was designed to use the OpenType feature Contextual Alternatives (calt) to put stripes on letters. It had only upper-case letters in one weight. SansduskiMono adds lower-case letters and eight more weights plus italics and outline styles for the black weights. Liquorice Twist is a light-hearted fun font which developed from some hand drawn text designed to accompany and be integrated with some ‘Zen Doodling’ art that someone had drawn.
