Gothic 13 is a bold condensed sans serif typeface. Originally designed in small sizes, Gothic 13 is very similar to Modern Gothic Condensed, which was a turn-of-the-20th-century modernization of a popular nineteenth century style. An early 1900s book on show card writing displayed a nice example of a Grotesk typeface (a popular style of sans serif of the time).
