Stencilvania JNL is one of the growing number of stencil fonts based on original source material by Jeff Levine. In this case, a "solid letter" stencil from years ago was modified to give it the classic stencil look of broken lines.

This font was adapted from an old lettering book, circa 1900. The book got away from us many years ago, but we had made stats of all the potentially useful fonts. Original had no lowercase or numerals, so we designed them.

Based on sketches of an alphabet from examples of South Western cattle brand marks. I always liked the idea of these brands for a font. A few years later a basic font - just the capitals - was used for some logo designs.

German-born, veteran graphic designer and calligrapher Mandred Kloppert, has designed everything from book covers and packaging to logos and fonts. Challenger, his first digital typeface draws on his more than 40 years of experience as a freelance graphic designer and calligrapher. The Unit Gothic series was released by Hamilton Manufacturing Co. in 1907. A tessellation is a shape that can be used to completely fill the plane—simple examples are isosceles triangles, squares, and hexagons. Tessellation patterns are eye-catching and visually appealing, which is the reason that they have long been popular in a variety of decorative situations, such as quilting. The TessieLetters fonts contain letter shapes that can be used to construct tessellation patterns. Each family has two styles, an outline style and a filled or black style. The black style can be used to construct colored patterns. This all started with a love for Jenson. I know there're hundreds of variations on that theme. But, that is where I began, several years ago. How far it came, as usual as I wandered through the vagaries of font design, is not unusual. If you've read any of my font design books, you know my design processes are quite loose and spontaneous. I wanted the general feel of a favorite old font, but softer, easier, and more comfortable. I built these on the same vertical metrics as my Librum Publishing Group. However, this family is not part of that group. I used the metrics because that shows my current taste in fonts. This family does work with the Librum group—but to be honest, I haven't experimented enough to come up with a good companion. I suspect I'll need to make another companion family. I may need make a non-modulated bold version also. But, that remains to be seen. I'm pleased with this.

Streamwood JNL is an outline sans wood type re-drawn from vintage source material. The design bears strong resemblance to Woodlawn JNL; but is a bit narrower and has a much different set of numbers as well as a more stylized letter "Q".

A reasonably accurate rendering of an old favorite font from Victorian times. Quite readable in lowercase, and very eye-catching in all-caps. We got the proof for this in London many years ago, but neglected to learn the name. Zorro sounds good.
