We saw a few letters of this in a catalog, and liked it so well we drew it up and made it as a film font for photolettering. Due to a surplus of interesting types in our shop this one never made it into our catalog, so we can¹t tell you anything about its popularity.

This series of faces was designed initially by Morris Fuller Benton, circa 1900. The design is a refinement of Taylor Gothic from 1897. It features a sans serif thick and thin design with angular stems. Pre-dating art deco, this design feels quaint, yet it still has a touch of modernism. Frederic Goudy designed a bold version of Globe Gothic in 1905 for ATF. The Bold and Bold Italic digital versions have been added to the LTC library in early 2007.

Stenblak is a rough, stencil blackletter design created by Terrance Weinzierl. There is just the right amount of grunge and texture to make Stenblak stand out from other formal blackletter designs. One of the more elegant script fonts available, this design is based on calligraphic handwriting called "Copperplate" because of the copper plates that it was etched into for reproduction. This face is not related to Copperplate [Gothic] by the American type designer, F.W. Goudy. The name Copperplate comes from the fact that writing masters used to hand-write their books and then send them to an engraver who recreated all the subtle details onto copper plates, which where then used to print the handwriting books.

Sales Book JNL was recreated from sample letters found in the wood type section of an old printer's supply catalog.

Sheet music for the title song from the 1933 Jean Harlow-Clark Gable film "Hold Your Man" has the movie title hand lettered in a dual line sans serif with Art Deco influences. This is now available as Dual Line Deco, and is available in both regular and oblique versions. The song itself was written by Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown, whose vast catalog of musical compositions was tapped for the 1952 musical classic "Singing in the Rain".

Type Vendor JNL gives a solid treatment to the dual-line Type Catalog JNL, and offers an oblique version as well.
