The Sonica font family represents a modern typeface that is designed the express fluidity of motion. The first font by the hand of this design team was Antediluvian, which consists of solid and down-to-earth glyphs - unearthed in fact, from ancient history. Sonica on the other hand is designed with a most volatile and dynamic geometry. If Antediluvian would be the alchemical Salt, Sonica would be its Mercury.

Attempting to marry the warm friendliness of the Cubano typeface with the versatility, functionality, and geometry of Eurostile has resulted in Cubenzis. After finishing the regular weight, I realized that it reminded me of old Soviet military hardware, something you might see on the outside of a tank or rocket, so i made the decision to include a full Cyrillic alphabet as well. It feels very sci-fi to me and i can imagine it being used as signage on a ship or as a warning label on machinery.

Four interchangeable all-caps typefaces, made specifically for designers to layer and play with. Here’s more at the designer’s site. It combines hard and soft, geometry and pattern. Eleusis is a sans serif monospace display font. The typeface has a distinct style inspired by a combination of Naval, Industrial, Mid-Century Modern and ancient sacred geometry, designed to be bold and easy to read. The Eleusis name is derived from the legendary town (Ancient Greek: Ἐλευσίς), home of the Eleusinian Mysteries and birthplace of the great tragedian Aeschylus for its past and present. Arnica is a display font based on a simple geometry that uses circles (and modules) as a structure. It is an experimental project where, in place of upercases, has alternate characters and swashes. Furthermore, arnica has 50 discretionary ligatures which, when activated, give a totally different touch to the font and also has the bold weight, which reinforce the experimentalism of the project. Combining lowercases with upercases, plus discretionary ligatures and bolds, you can write the same word in several different ways. The character set offers more than 400 glyphs and support for many languages.

Between geometry & shapes inspired by nature, in 4 fonts Audace was born as a response to a simple brief: how to visually express human interaction and technology with abstract forms? The starting point is a humanistic sanserif, to which are added external references: design pieces, furniture, buildings. Architects shape our world with the intention to reconnect nature, human and address a perfect functionality. Not so far to typeface design which combines a personal vision and ensures good legibility in a certain context. Audace — like the works of those artists, designers, architects — is clearly influenced by the tension of the line, the play with negative space, the dynamics, the surprise, the nature that will influence the shapes of the letters. So if a v is asymmetrical, and the y based on similar asymmetry but in reverse, these two shapes help to distinguish from one to the other. This is a consequence of the influence of forms from design and art in the design of the Audace. And this small example illustrates the confrontations of the designer’s influences: the search for the most unique shapes, but without compromising on function: to be read, to be legible, even at very small size in the worst conditions. Designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini with the help of Francesco Canovaro, Unigeo is an eulogy to the design style of vintage computing, with its obsession for geometric modularity, ultra-tight tracking and striped rainbow overload. It aims at giving a new perspective to the ever-useful geometric sans genre, by adding a vintage flair to selected letters while keeping optical adjustments to the minimum, to prioritize the modular, constructed look aspect of the typeface. Furthermore, like every vintage gaming system, Unigeo has been developed with different "memory versions":32, 64 and 128. The main family, Unigeo 64, is display and logo-design oriented, featuring tight tracking and iconic signature letterforms, and referencing vintage design and typefaces from the photo-lettering era. These letterforms are substituted in the Unigeo 32 variant with more contemporary shapes, resulting in a workhorse geometric sans, highly optimized for text use but still suited for logo design and display use thanks to its wide weight range. The idea of symmetry came to me when I was lookig for a geometric sans font. None of the things that I found did have the mathematically perfect symmetry. So, I went ahead and created one.
