The history of this font is those. Once I assorted the old children's books which have stayed from times of my childhood. On one of them I have seen a trade mark of a printing house consisting of two Russian letters "L" and "B". From they were begun also with my font. And though finally from these letters a little that remained, elements of these letters can be seen in font D-block B.

The original Avenir typeface was designed by Adrian Frutiger in 1988, after years of having an interest in sans serif typefaces. The word Avenir means “future” in French and hints that the typeface owes some of its interpretation to Futura. But unlike Futura , Avenir is not purely geometric; it has vertical strokes that are thicker than the horizontals, an “o” that is not a perfect circle, and shortened ascenders. These nuances aid in legibility and give Avenir a harmonious and sensible appearance for both texts and headlines. In 2012, Akira Kobayashi worked alongside Avenir’s esteemed creator Adrian Frutiger to bring Avenir Next to life, as a new take on the classic Avenir. The goal of the project was to take a beautifully designed sans and update it so that its technical standards surpass the status quo, leaving us with a truly superior sans family. Since then, Monotype expanded the typeface to accommodate more languages. Akira’s deep familiarity with existing iterations of the Frutiger designs, along with his understanding of the design philosophy of the man himself, made him uniquely suited to lead the creation of different language fonts. Avenir Next World family, the most recent release from Monotype, is an expansive family of fonts that offers support for more than 150 languages and scripts that include Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Arabic, Georgian, Armenian and Thai. Avenir Next World contains 10 weights, from UltraLight to ExtraBlack.

Izmir is a modern, geometric font family. Izmir font family consists of 44 fonts in two widths, normal and narrow where each width consists of regular and italic styles in 11 weights. Each weight is equipped with useful OpenType features. A local ampersand has been added to use in Turkish in normal weights and italics. The combination of normal and narrow weights can be an excellent choice for any graphic design and display use.

ResotE-Pastels family was created inspired by the poetry of natural colors: the elegance of Pearls, the freshness of Mint, romanticism of Lavender and Cherry Blossom. Preface vs. Helvetica/Futura/Gill: a different strategy of text color. Whereas the established classes of sans serif typeface achieve a dynamic balance between stroke and space by combining a diversity of letterform with an evenness of fit, Preface switches the emphasis, driving out diagonals to create a dominant harmony of curves and perpendiculars, matched with a greater variety of inter-character space shapes—the result of extra width introduced in the “f” and “t”, and by the openness that accompanies the wide tails of the “ a” and “l”, the long ear of the “r”, and the serif of the “i”. En masse, and in keeping with the present trend in typography, Preface exhibits a coarser texture than the traditional sans serif faces, but one that is nonetheless even and precise. With tabular, oldstyle figures.

Signage JNL shows the heavy influence of the perennial favorite Futura Black with a couple of minor changes here and there. The design was inspired by a set of British brass stencils for sale in an online auction.

Stenblak is a rough, stencil blackletter design created by Terrance Weinzierl. There is just the right amount of grunge and texture to make Stenblak stand out from other formal blackletter designs. Stenblak would be great for any printed Halloween materials as well as posters, flyers and greeting cards. Stenblak is available in OpenType and TrueType font formats and is best used in medium to large headline sizes.

There is just one subtle difference between these two fonts. The A version has a straight lowercase 'e'; the B version has an angled lowercase 'e'.
