Pen Nouveau JNL is a perfect example of the fluid, free-form pen lettering popularized during the Art Nouveau era of the early 1900s. The type face was modeled from the lettering on the cover of a piece of sheet music from 1911 entitled "If You Talk in Your Sleep, Don't Mention My Name".

Tiranti Solid is based on the original textured Tiranti created by English designer Tony Forster. This typeface lends itself more easily for use in digital formats while still maintaining the free-flowing calligraphy of the earlier design. Tiranti Solid consists of initial swash capitals complemented by a more reserved lowercase with many alternate letters.

Frantic Pace JNL is based on hand lettering found on the lid of a late 1950s or early 1960s edition of the Print Craft alphabet printing set once manufactured by the Superior Marking Equipment Company of Chicago. It's time to kick off your shoes and feel the "sans" between your toes. Anglecia Pro is an exquisite and versatile system of three transitional serif typefaces designed to work together in editorial design. Sharing the same skeleton, vertical axis, and trapezoidal uncurved serifs, each of these faces bears different key dimensions and different contrast typical for three different type epochs. Anglecia Pro Text is a typeface designed for general typesetting in average reading sizes. Galaxo Dot is a sister to Galaxo Line. HGB Galaxo is a tribute to Othmar Motter (1927–2010), the Vorarlberg graphic artist and typeface designer, who designed very individual and perfectly crafted typefaces in the 1970's and later. (Motter Ombra, Motter Tectura ...) From a Motter sketch of 5 letters for a logogram, I derived a simplified letterform and developed all the necessary characters. Working on these glyphs and delving deeper into Motter's letterforms, the respect for the accuracy with which he drew his letters (in ink) grew more and more. The spiral resembles the shape of a galaxy, hence the name Galaxo. The font is suitable for retro, poster and logo design.

Journal type family is a low-contrast text face of the Ionic-Legibility group. It was designed at the Polygraphmash Type Design Bureau in 3 styles in 1951–53 by Lev Malanov and Elena Tsaregorodtseva. The fonts were based on Cyrillic version of Excelsior that was developed in 1936 in Moscow by professor Michael Shchelkunov, Nikolay Kudryashev et al., that in its turn was based on Excelcior by Chauncey H. Griffith, 1931, Mergenthaler Linotype. Digital version was developed in ParaGraph (ParaType) in 1991. In 2012–13 designer Natalia Vasilyeva made some corrections in original digital data, extended character set and add bold italic style. The family was rereleased in ParaType in 2013.

Sutro Deluxe is a bold slab serif with a double drop shadow. It was originally conceived as a simple black and white display alphabet. But it seemed unfinished, begging for something more. A wide and thin hand lettered Art Deco design from the vintage French lettering book "L'Art du Tracé Rationnel de la Lettre" was the inspiration for French Deco JNL; available in both regular and oblique versions.

In mid 2001, P22 was approached by a Daniel Garrison, a Classics scholar at Northwestern University about possibly digitizing a long lost "Garamond" typeface. This font was used by Johannes Herbst (a.k.a. Ioannes Oporinus) in 1543 to publish Andreas Vesalius' "On the Fabric of the Human Body" (De humani corporis fabrica) in Basel. The story of the development of this font takes a few twists and almost becomes forgotten itself over time.Forteen years later it is available to the public.
