NorB TypeWriter is my emulation of the IBM Selectric 'Light Italic' ball witch was used by my grand-brother for his correspondance during the 70’s and 80’s. It's however a slanted mono-spaced looking typewriter font. You may want to use this font with any word processing program for text and display use, print and web projects, apps and ePub, comic books, graphic identities, branding, editorial, advertising, scrapbooking, cards and invitations and any casual lettering purpose… or even just for fun! The name Type Warmers JNL traces its lineage to small catalog booklets issued by Indianapolis' Cobb Shinn for his line of letterpress cuts; of which a few can be found included within this typeface. Presumably type could "warm up to" these stock illustrations and work hand-in-hand to deliver the message, hence the "Type Warmers" sobriquet. Originally known for illustrating many attractive and comical postcards of the early 1900s, Shinn moved into the field of purchasing stock art and redistributing them as electrotypes or "cuts", the predecessor to today's digital clip art. A number of the cartoons he sold can be found in the Shinn Kickers JNL font.

100.000 years ago years ago, a group of mad scientists from the far away planet ZyrXX, encountered the earth and just waited to conquer the planet. Their masterplan was to use electronic brain waves to manipulate our minds. Sounds cheesy and comic, right? Well, that is the true story about this font. The font was built using a grid (hence the name!) and all I had in mind, was a mixture of old sci-fi movies and computer graphics from the 80ies. I did my best to recall and re-create this - I will let you be the judge to decide whether I succeeded! :)

Let me tell you a secret: This font has got absolutely nothing to do with nougat or France. I just love nougat, and I actually ate some while finishing this font! My wife is a good at making cakes, and lucky for me is that she too adores nougat - that way I often get delicious cakes with nougat :) Well, back to the font - a handmade rounded sans-serif, comic, organic, all-purpose with a playful attitude. Mi negra is a funny and hilarious typography designed especially for children, thought and created by Isabel de Gregorio. It could be described as an original combination between a semi-handwright and semi sans-serif font.
