Inspired by the lettering on a perfume, Halmos extrapolated a complete uppercase alphabet, and he also created a matching lowercase. Now the character set has been expanded completely, and this stylish Art Deco font is ready to create some headlines, new logos and wordmarks in many more languages. This font has that grungy, gritty look, and combines it with some elegant swirls. Weird and wonderful. A classic "wild west" or circus type font - perfect for oldstyle posters and anything needing an antiquated look. A very chunky and rounded font. I have shortened the r and t, increased the size of the dots, and tweaked a little here and there - before expanding the character set substantially. The history of Aerolite, from Jan Paul: "The Aerolite fonts are essentially stripped down versions of a complex outline typeface I designed for the first Midnight Oil album in 1978, affectionately known as "The Blue Meanie". Many years later I saw the font "powderworks" and asked Brian Kent if he would be interested in digitizing Aerolite. Brian is a font (!) of knowledge and was of invaluable help by getting Aerolite to where it is today. Sevigne [sey-vee-nyey] is a highly refined, contemporary geometric sans, inspired by the ambience of high-end fashion and luxury. The inclusion of over 130 unique ligatures expand its sensibility of alluring, well-balanced letterforms and distinctive style. Stylistically, as an all-caps typeface, Sevigne exudes a greater sense of harmony and polish due to its unicase form where the interplay of a limited amount of characters is the focus. Designed at ParaType in 1997 by Tagir Safayev. Based on Gasetny Chorny (“Newspaper Black”), of Ossip Lehmann foundry, St.-Petersburg, 1874, and Kompakte Grotesk of Haas. An old-fashioned German sans serif “Grotesque”. For use in advertising and display typography.

Here's another old-timer that needed a lowercase, so we drew one. Originally issued as a caps-only type by The American Type Founders Company about 1898, this font found its way into Craftsman period design. It was the inspiration for Galadriel, a dry transfer sheet alphabet.
