Gunsmoke is a revival of a James Conner's Sons font that's been listed under different names such as Extended Clarendon Shaded, Original Ornamented and Galena. Dating back to 1888 this font was available with an original lowercase, numbers and punctuation. Today we've expanded the set to include the original shaded version a regular black, open left, open right and a fill font for the two open faced versions. The single Gunsmoke fill font is in alignment with the Gunsmoke Open R version and will also work with Gunsmoke Open L by shifting your fill font layer to align with the Open L version. You will need an application that works in layers in order to use the fill font with the Gunsmoke Open L and R fonts. Make sure you check out the left and right pointing gun hands on the less than and greater than keys, the gun alone is on the left and right brace keys. Rockner is a family of fraktur typefaces designed by the calligrapher/designer Julius de Goede. Like all Blackletter styles, fraktur evolved out of Northern Europe's medieval manuscript tradition. The Xavier family of typefaces is based on the delightful deco typeface called Ashley Crawford, originally designed in 1930 by Ashley Havinden. After designing Xavier Black (Serif) and Xavier Sans Black, I added Bold Sans, Medium and Medium Sans and finally added lowercase to the medium weights. Although more manageable than Ashley Crawford, Xavier, due to its very playful nature (splayed A, M, etc.) needs to be used with care, especially in terms of spacing. Xavier is a playful typeface and I have been particularly pleased to see it used in children's books.

Rotulo Variable is a contrasted sans family which combines the Thick & Thin signpainter's style and some 70s feeling in a huge font family with three axis: Width, Weight and Slant. A visit to an exhibition of Spanish movie posters by Jano was the beginning of Rótulo (Spanish for Sign) project. Classic thick & thin signpainter style was featured in many letterings of those posters, as it was a very common style in 60s and 70s Spanish design.
