Sansational is an original design by Alex Kaczun. The inspiration started with the shape of a "paper clip". Simple and elegant. A condensed sans serif that's, well... just sansational! Ambriel is a fancy neoclassic delight—typographic "eye candy" for the senses. Alex Kaczun embelished one of his earlier typefaces, Kaczun Oldstyle Italic, and infused it with many decorative elements including extravagant ball terminals along with many additional whimsical touches throughout. And, what he created is a truly unique display font reminiscent of the ornately decorated Victorian era.

Discoteque Family is modern art-deco related fonts collection that found compromise between retro and futuristic style. They are geometrically straight, rhythmic, clean and elegant. Alex Kaczun, originally designed BottleKaps for Linotype-Hell, in 1992, as a QuickDraw GX multi-master font series. A few new GX applications, like 'Unicorn', where able to utilize these unique fonts. The GX application allowed the user to adjust weight and proportions, on the fly, including glyph substitution for small capitals, old style figures, swash and alternate endings. The technology was never successfully deployed by Apple, so the individual fonts, 21 styles and variations in all, where sold in the Linotype Font Library as separate Truetype fonts up until 1998. Unfortunately, the fonts collected dust for many years thereafter, but now have been reworked and rejuvenated by Alex in OpenType format for both Mac and PC. 'BottleKaps' is a 'unique', 'playful' and 'decorative' font series. Use it for those bold headlines to stimulate interest and show off your 'unique' individual style.

Bajka (or Fairy tale in English) is a Baskerville font family made for children’s fairy tale books. Originally designed in 2010 ([www.behance.net/gallery/483582/Fairy-tale-font Fairy tale Font]). Today the family contains Regular, Bold, Italic, Bold Italic, Symbols and Ornaments (Latin, Cyrillic, dingbats, ornamental caps).

Barata Display is an all caps script family font inspired by the street vendors and informal commerce in Latin countries. A condensed defined and thick stroke evokes the chalk signs that are made in "tianguis", markets, greengrocers, barbecues and flea markets from Los Angeles to Buenos Aires. What distinguishes the New Barata Display from Estudio Arellano Type Foundry is the expressive power of its structure. A colorful floral book that I found at a flea market inspired me to make the font Herbarium. What started as floral letter illustrations in 2009 has now developed into a writable font. My main intention was to make each letter like a little artwork so that they all could fit as a drop cap. Herbarium is also a good choice for headlines.

Zanzabar is an exotic display font with a distinctive Middle Eastern flair. Its characters loosely mimic the Arabic script with lowercase letters being much smaller than uppercase. Special emphasis was given to the wispy, brush-like appearance of its characters for a suggestion of authenticity. This works best from far away or at small sizes. Although decorative by nature, the entire character set is relatively easy to read. Use Zanzabar for a restaurant logo, children’s book, or a movie poster.

Ellida is a very elaborate and elegant script in the tradition of the 18th-century English calligrapher George Bickham and the 19th-century American calligrapher Platt Rogers Spencer. I really enjoyed designing this script and maybe one day I will add starting and ending letters. Doing this script was extremely time- and brain-consuming, it is a huge challenge to make calligraphic letters work on computers so that they join perfectly. That's also the reason that this has become my most expensive font so far, but I think the price is fair for the incredible amount of work I put into the script. Brookshire was inspired by the lettering seen on the Almanac ephemera paper when I visited the flea market in France. The result is a lovely piece of neo-Victorian fun that brings back the joy of 19th-century shop signs and flamboyant design ethos. Brookshire is ideal for poster work and signage, or anywhere that you want to bring back the joy of high Victorian design ethos.

Envisage is a distinctive new grotesk design by Alex Kaczun. Characterized by distinct details throughout as particularly visable in the capitals A, H and N. There is a more organic and natural feel to the overall design as in the sutle curves introduced in many of the lower case letter forms, specifically the a, h, m and n. And, especially evident in the warm overall curves within the l‘case g. In addition, incorporating flexibility in form and function, Alex has also included alternate letter forms in this OpenType font; allowing the graphic designer a choice in the overall look and feel. Envisage has impact and zeal. It's a wonderful choice for a distinctively unique headline treatment, and works equally well in text in a large range of point sizes. Use this friendlier sans serif as an alternate to Futura and Gill Sans. We think you will like what you see. The large Pro font character set supports most Central European and many Eastern European languages.

The hand lettered thin, variable width slab serif text appearing on the cover of a souvenir photo book for the 1933 Chicago World's Fair Exposition is the basis for Thinly Disguised JNL.

“Tropical Type” was Alf Becker’s 148th submission to “Signs of the Times” magazine (a publication for the sign trade) where for years Becker would provide a monthly lettering design to inspire other sign writers. This particular design has more of a Far East flair to it, and was redrawn digitally as Travel East JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. Special thanks to Tod Swormstedt of the American Sign Museum and S.T. Media Group for providing the sample image from which the font was derived.

Spillsbury was inspired by some examples of 1920s signwriting (principally seen on the side of some vintage vans-good thing they were in a photograph and not on the move!). Spillsbury draws inspiration from these sources to provide a unique combination of legibility and flair, which echoes the charm of advertising and publicity material from the halcyon days of the 1920s. A basic range of four display faces os offered - Regular, Plain (not all that plain really!), Shaded and Shadowed. In a new departure for Greater Albion, three pairs of 'Duo' faces are also offered. These are designed to be used in pairs-and only sold on that basis for little more than the cost of a single face-to provide for two-coloured typographic design, enabling the recreation of those evokative two coloured blocked lettering styles that were used to such good effect in the past. MARIAMNE is an original design by Alex Kaczun. It is an elegant, modern and traditional interpretation based on and modeled after his successful "Contax Pro" and "New Age Gothic" typeface series. As such, it has generous proportions with clean, crisp lines—ideally suited for easy reading and long lines of copy. Alex felt that the skeleton for "Contax" was perfectly suited to transform the design into a modern version of 'old-style', somewhat reminiscent of German Black Letter. Numerous modifications where made to the body proportions, stems and shapes. True 'old-style' serifs and unusual 'cross-strokes' where added for a touch of distinction. The 'cross-strokes' where added at exactly visual mid-point on the overall heights. This gives the typeface a romantic, female-like quality to the overall design. Strong, yet delicate. Visually stimulating in appearance and function. The result is a truly unique transitional and modern design. Unlike other typefaces, MARIAMNE incorporates uniform stems throughout the capitals, lower case and figures. This gives the design a uniform appearance in overall color and strength. There is a perfect visual balance between inter-letter spacing, stem weights and proportions. The accents are equally large, bold and command attention. This font includes a large 'Pro' character set, which supports most Central European and many Eastern European languages. As a result, the design is ideally suited for display copy as well as text composition. In the near future, Alex plans to expand the typeface series to include a light and heavy weight, along with true italics.

Nadia is an original design by Alex Kaczun. It is a modern stencil interpretation of Granjon Oldstyle, highlighted by large elongated serifs, generous proportions and a large x-height. It is an elegant display for headlines as well as text. Named after his daughter, Nadia has a distinctively vibrant and baroque quality which some would even call sensuous. It’s a truly unique stencil treatment characterized by crisp, clean, rounded shapes.

Linotype Gavotte was designed by Rudo Spemann in 1940. His style was unmistakable, marked by original ideas and completely new forms. His tendency toward the unusual and adventurous resulted in unique, decorative characters. When he wrote, the tip of his pen flew across the page, leaving behind rows of letters which displayed an almost unbelievable regularity of form and flow. Gavotte is a perfect example of the best of Spemann’s calligraphy.

The design for the font "Viktor" is based on original woodcut letters I purchased on a Flea Market. I handprinted the letters and converted the result into a font. The font preserves the rough and handmade character of the printed letters. To make the font more useful especially for packaging I designed in addition to the original font an outline version, a shadowed version and a striped font.

A square but fair font, or as they say in Germany "kradratisch, praktisch, gut". Because of the simpleness in this font, I decided add two styles less square to the family: funky and zit.

The Confetti is a typeface created about 1930 by the defunct José Iranzo foundry in Barcelona, and imitates the forms and gestures of handwriting created with a round nib as “Speedball”Series B. The original typefaces were a pair, called “Escritura Energica ” and “Escritura maravilla”. The typography has a dynamic air, caused partially by irregular alignment of the characters respect to the baseline and aesthetics takes us to the proposed commercial lettering or advertising of years 20-30. Confetti was one of the fonts selected by the website Typographica.org in its prestigious list of “Our Favorite Typefaces” in 2006.

Victorian Ornamentals is a digital revival of a lovely Victorian letterset containing initials adorned with flourishes from a vintage embroidery typeface. Winterberry (Ilex verticillata) is a species of holly, native to the USA and Canada. I thought it was a rather cool name (pun intended) for a messy script font made during a cold spell. Winterberry was created using Chinese ink and a crappy brush - hence its messy appearance. Use Winterberry on your alt-Christmas invitations, your fantasy novels, your rock albums or your website!
