Saugatuck is a cap-height only display typeface inspired by nature. With it’s roots based on a few hand-drawn characters from nearly a century ago by the pen artist W.E. Dennis, Saugatuck now exists as a two-variant typeface. It contains all of the usual characters and accents, most of the math, plus some of the more esoteric characters. Each letter A-Z has a alternate in it’s associated lowercase character to allow you to have even more varied, natural-looking text. Works great for display purposes, seasonal designs, and times when you need to invoke a little bit of a less-structured, environmental feeling.

MyCRFT was designed as a custom heading typeface for Drew Maughan's IhNohMinecraft project. ABOUT THE PROJECT Beginning life in 2015 under the name Mascoteers, the project was an ensemble of small-scale characters built from LEGO elements. The challenge was in creating the different figures with the restrictions of existing LEGO elements, while being recognisable as individual characters. The project was initially well received within the LEGO community and with the general public, but was eventually ignored and even ridiculed in favour of LEGO's own BrickHeadz theme, launched in late 2016. It was rebranded IhNohMinecraft as a response to the deliberate cries of "Ih dih Minecraft?" since BrickHeadz' launch. The project has no relation to the popular game. ABOUT THE TYPEFACE The motivation to create MyCRFT was as part of establishing IhNohMinecraft as its own project, by giving it a new visual identity. The typeface could be described as a cross between the ones used for Gears Of War and Overwatch. I liked the boldness of the former, and the italicized straight edges of the latter. MyCRFT was intended to be used in its Black Italic form from the beginning, and was designed around the letters from the word MINECRAFT. Where I couldn't decide on specific characters, I've included the designs as alternative glyphs. I've also included the old "square" Mascoteers logo and the newer "head" IhNohMinecraft logo. Investigator JNL gives a serif treatment to Cold Case JNL, which was modeled from some old lettering stencils manufactured in the 1950s.

Stubble is a distressed grunge font with many useful variations that make things easy. It comes in both a Regular and Bold version, and a Smudged version as if the print block has slipped a little bit just at the vital moment. Also there’s 2 jumbled versions with the letters and numbers, and some punctuation, at odd angles and slightly off-whack; there’s 2 versions with little bits of overprint on most of the main characters (as if the corners of the block or stamp have just caught the paper); a couple of Caps Only versions; plus condensed and expanded versions of the main faces. The Bold version is not an exact expanded version of the Regular version, please note, the characters are different (i.e. the misprinting is different) in the two weights. Western and Central European accented characters are included, and there’s a set of replacements for double-letter combinations such as bb, dd and OO, TT, so that 2 different letters will appear - which avoids having exactly the same grunge letter appearing twice in succession (20 or more pairings for each case, all the pairings that reasonably exist) which work as ligature replacements. The whole family constitutes a comprehensive package that offers a great variety of ways of presenting a grunge typeface for display, headlines and posters, while maintaining the thread of the same sans-serif style. The zip package contains both the TTF and OTF versions of the font. Install only one version on the same machine, installing both versions may produce all sorts of erratic behavior.

Aneba Neue is refreshed version of my old type family. It's a geometric sans serif typeface with a clean feel. The low contrast and high x height is perfect for headlines and display purposes. Aneba Neue contains 5 weights in two different styles - Bold & Slanted.

This typeface design was influenced by the British Rail corporate type introduced in an old lettering instruction book published in Japan. Of course, the only clue to this typeface is the lettering instruction book at hand. I started with the Bold design first. Then I designed Light, Regular, and Black in that order. Sassoon fonts package for handwriting starters The three upright "infant" fonts developed to meet the demand for letters to produce pupil material for handwriting as well as for reading. Letters have extended ascenders and descenders ideal on screen and print. They facilitate word recognition. The exit strokes link words together visually, also crucially, they space the letters for improved legibility. The "joined" font puts the skills gained into practice producing joined-up handwriting. Together these typefaces provide a valuable resource for Teachers to create consistent material across the curriculum. Sassoon Infant Tracker B font: This font with its direction arrows helps pupils to start in the correct place. Motor movements can be refined by keeping inside the line. When starting and direction is no problem, the arrow font can be dropped and the Dotted font used. Sassoon Infant Dotted B font: Writing over the dots of this font refines motor skills. The aim here is to give confidence by reinforcing starting points, exits and to now encourage fluidity. Sassoon Infant font: With some words in this font and a baseline beneath to copy onto, pupils can use their learned starting points and exit strokes to write freely along the baseline - still unjoined. Once learned, this leads to spontaneous joins along the baseline leading logically to a joined-up hand. Sassoon Joined font: Having learned to write letters with correct starts and exits, this is when the joined font for teaching handwriting can be used. With some words in this font and a baseline beneath to copy onto, pupils can use their learned starting points and simply extend their exit strokes to make joined-up writing.
