Julietrose debuted in May of 2006 and was quickly embraced by members of the graphic design community, who found it as charming as its name. The playful, full-bodied script began to show up in all forms of graphic communication. However, it soon became apparent that a bold weight would add more versatility to the design. Martin Wait, Julietrose’s designer, happily obliged by drawing a new and more forceful weight of the typeface. Where Julietrose is vivacious and lighthearted, Julietrose Bold is assertive and speaks with authority. They are clearly sisters, though – both weights feature flamboyant swashes and elegantly long ascenders and descenders. Core Deco is font family inspired by Art Deco posters from 1920s, '30s, and '40s. The font family is anchored by two fonts: Core Deco, an elegant monolinear update of Art Deco lettering, and Core Deco C1, a vivacious weighted counterpart. Some years ago, a good friend and typophile, Gonzalo García Barcha, approached me with the idea of designing a typeface for his editorial project Blacamán Ediciones. He had just came across an hitherto unknown manuscript by Luis Lagarto, a colonial illuminator and scribe, working in Mexico City and Puebla in the late 1500s. The manuscript calligraphy was incredible and stunningly original. It featured three different hands by the scribe, intermingled in the text: a kind of baroque «Roman» roundhand; a very ornate, lively «Italic»; and some sort of irregular, playful, even funny «small caps». All imbued with an eccentric, convoluted zest and vivacious rhythm. Lagarto is the final result of translating these extraordinary hands into a digital type family. Since the manuscript had no numerals, math signs and many other characters now in use, part of the fun of the job was to infer them from the stylistic peculiarities of Luis Lagarto's calligraphy. Lagarto received an Award of Excellence at the Type Directors Club of New York annual competition.

Sparrowhawk, a capitals only titling, evokes a suburban English gentility.

Loosely based on Dorsey, an English typeface by Alan Dempsey.

English designer David Quay created the Agincourt font in 1983. Drawn after the Old English style of type, Agincourt features intricate capitals, which complement the more reserved, slightly condensed lowercase. Agincourt is perfect for use on certificates, greeting cards, or anything that should have an historical appearance.

Modern Elvish is a humanist sans serif typeface created for the Tengwar “English” mode as popularized in the Lord of the Rings books and films. I imagined the famous elves of this lore living in contemporary times and needing a no nonsense modern typeface for their branding, communications and UX design. Use this typeface for your RPG, LARPing or Cosplay needs. This typeface uses advanced font features such as ligatures and contextual alternates to convert any English text. I would recommend typing in English first, then converting to a font of this typeface.

English Scripts are nice and decorative. I wanted to make them strong and expressive, too.
