While I was developing this font, my mother kept feeding me something she calls "Dream Cake". This indescribably delicious confection fueled my inspiration (there's nothing like a constant sugar-high to keep you going!) and the result is this cute little font. Dream Cake is casual in nature and as with all of my fonts, you'll find some quirky little twists to make your type projects interesting.

This font is a collection of simple calligraphic ornaments suitable for invitations, gift tags, and anything that can benifit from a "spoonful of sugar" visually. The frames font uses the same calligraphic elements as PR-Swirlies-01, but has them combines in ways which form an elliptical cartouche. Many of the elements can be used in a modular way to create frames of varying length.

Zafrada features classic wedge serifs that can be sharp like a machete or round like molasses. Inspired in the sugar cane, this typeface brings great display legibility with versatile expressions. While the edgy version reminds us of classical rustic grotesk typefaces, the round version brightness the tone considerably. Be it display, branding, campaigns or content creation, this font has a sure space in many projects for it's reliable and versatile nature.

Cicero Series 2 is a decorative serif display font that expresses a dominant yet prestigious presence.

Kandij is a Dutch word and it means ‘Rock Sugar’. We Dutch use it in a lot of products, from ‘ontbijtkoek’ (a rye based spiced cake we sometimes eat for breakfast) to Fryske Sûkerbôle, A Frisian sweet bread. Kandij is a fat and happy font. I’d probably use it for any book or product aimed at children, as it has a certain lumpy cuteness. Comes with diacritics and swashes for the upper case letters.

In a much needed break from complex scripts and polished packaging fonts, Koziupa and Paul decide to show their playful side. Chicle is bold, stretchable, kid-proof, pet-resistant letters. This font is made to take the abuse of software used to put together the elaborate, attention-scrambling artwork of candy, cereal, and toy packaging, or whatever boxed obscenity contains cat and dog treats. Chicle is Spanish for bubble gum. It's a definite sugar fix — no substitutes.

Toroka is a geometric sans serif type family with an extensive selection of styles. Functional and highly legible, it has a friendly vibe due to the lack of extending stems on "b", "d", "p", "q", "u", and "r". Its distinctive personality comes across through the rounded apexes of "V", "W", "v", and "w". Stylised "g" and "y" add sugar and spice. The additional stylistic set offers an eccentric display alternative to the uppercase. Opentype features include ligatures, tabular figures and fractions.

Perfecto is the perfect font drawn imperfectly by hand. At small sizes the imperfections disappear; at large sizes, the hand-drawn touch becomes dominant.

Health Warning! Coconuts are not that healthy!! I always thought that coconuts were the new quinoa, but apparently they’re not that good for you. They are furry balls of saturated fat, sugar and calories, so don’t go all out with your coconut eating habits! Of course, eating a bit of coconut now and then will not kill you, so enjoy! Coconut Punch is a handmade didone-ish font. Nice and rounded and full of saturated brush strokes. Comes with all the diacritics you need too!

I do groceries a couple of times a week. When I am shopping for food, I always read the ingredients list; I don’t want too much sugar, nor palm oil, trans fats or a lot of E numbers. It used to be quite hard finding products that didn’t contain artificial flavours or colouring, but it is getting better. Artificial Flavour is an anti-ode to the time we couldn’t get enough of the stuff - it is a handmade, all caps font which comes with extensive language support and a sweet set of alternates.

This elegant yet playful offering is based on the typeface Domino designed by Alfred Riedel for the German foundry Ludwig & Mayer in 1954. Its large x-height and subtly sinuous curves make it a natural choice for headlines which are both warm and compelling. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin, 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan).

Double Nines JNL is a dingbat font containing fifty-five glyphs for the tiles found in the second level of domino games. Sets of dominoes can be of either double six, double nine or double twelve. In this font, the double blank tile is located on the zero keystroke, while the one/blank and 1/1 tiles are on the 1 and 2 keystrokes. The rest of the tiles (in numerical order through 9/9) are located on the A-Z and a-z keystrokes respectively. VLNL Gaufre is a pixel-based font with holes designed by Donald Roos. Each character is built on a grid of doughnut-like elements, which makes it look like a kind of dried dog food, or Belgian waffles. Despite the grid Gaufre still has enough warmth due to the doughy, slightly rounded corners. And because it’s prepared with a hot waffle iron of course. The end result is a merry, chunky typeface that smells of doughnut. Use it for logos or headlines, just add butter and sugar or, better still, top it with whipped cream and cherries. Yummie!

This slinky number will seduce you with its linking letters and special ligatures. Brimley's strokes are tight and sharp, and its characters are tied together with slender, whispy hooks. Although its elegance is timeless, this is a style that typifies lettering of last century's late '50s and early '60s. Chank Co. intern Tim Drabandt created Brimley with inspiration from antique type books. He named the font after Wilford Brimley. You know... the chubby old guy who tells you to check your blood sugar and eat your Grape Nuts and Quaker Oats. Haven't you ever seen Cocoon?

Eco-nomico is the pop version of Eco , designed in 2001.

Kashigata Stencils JNL is a collection of 52 beautiful Japanese stencil images used for decorating sugar cakes to honor deceased family members with the crest of that family. My family and I recently moved to a ‘fixer upper’ farm from the 1930’s. It came with a slightly run down barn, 4000 square metres of land and a LOT of redcurrant bushes. I can’t really say that I am overly fond of them. I find them a bit too tart. As a kid, I used to smother them in sugar, but I can’t do that any longer, since I am a responsible dad… ;-) Redcurrant is a slightly wonky, slightly crazy handmade font. It can be used for book covers or post cards, but feel free to use it for whatever. Comes with cute little swashes as well.

Struffoli are small, marble sized deep fried dough balls from Naples. They are served with a variety of sweet condiments, like honey, sugar and sprinkles. There is nothing deep fried about Struffoli font, nor does it resemble a deep fried dough ball: I just liked the name and at least now I can say what Struffoli are! Struffoli was handmade using a brush and Chinese ink. It does look like a connected script font, but it is not (really): only a few letters connect, making it a more versatile font. Use it for your cookbooks, posters and toy packaging. Rest assured, it comes with a generous serving of diacritics.
