Satellite PT started out as an experiment. Wanting to explore the geometry of using angles instead of curves, I started sketching out the face using grid paper. I had seen similar fonts that tended to be completely symmetrical. My exploration tended to include what I humorously call 'faux humanist' elements, such as asymmetrical bowls, tapers and 'flare-serifs' (for lack of a better word) for select terminals. The result was a quirky and interesting face at display sizes. However, at small sizes, as ink bleed starts to take over, the angles disappear in favor of the overall forms (rounded bowls, etc.) and the 'faux-humanist' effects start to mimic modulation found in more traditional, modulated text faces. While it is hardly a true text face, the result is surprising legibility at text sizes.

Hlad is incised sans serif family inspired by carved Roman letters. Hlad comes in 5 weights – Thin, Light, Regular, Semi Bold and Bold. It is a low contrast typeface, with asymmetric flare serifs and sharp bowl and shoulder endings. Hlad combines elegance of calligraphic endings with stable, solid constructional stems from sans serif group of typefaces.

Hutton is a sans-serif typeface with flattened overshoots, such as shoulders, arms, and bowls. There are seven weights, from light to bold, with matching oblique italics. Inspired by using a ruler to write straight lines, and offering additional horizontality to characters, Hutton’s flattened bowls are intended to evoke a sense of flatness and retro influence – as if drawn at a drafting table. Featuring closed counters and low-contrast, Hutton is closely related to grotesque sans serif designs of the 20th Century, but with something a little different. Included is comprehensive European language support with contextual kerning on common diacritic combinations – as well as localised alternatives for languages such as Polish. A stylized typeface directly inspired by the movie poster artwork for The Man Who Fell To Earth starring David Bowie.

A narrow sans serif, FUD Grotesk was inspired by brutalist architecture and modernist typography. There is a subtle stroke contrast, many inktraps, and even some microserifs (look for them in the main strokes!). Note the closed bowl apertures, exaggerated in the alternate forms, which result in a dense, ornate typeset. Five weights (from Light to Bold), and a large set of discretionary ligatures.

A futuristic styled font that takes influences from 1970s music and film. Examples include: David Bowie, T-Rex, Rollerball & Logan's Run.

Decorative font Shaltai was developed by young Russian designer Katya Galuyan. The letters slightly resemble rolling, falling and broken eggs. Egg-shaped appearance of the characters determines the name of the font. Shaltai Boltai is a Russian cousin of English Humpty Dumpty, French Boule Boule and Swedish-Norwegian Lille Trille. The font can be used for advertising and display works, children books and so on. Released by ParaType in 2008.

This elegant family of fonts, suitable for both text and display, is narrow in fit and characterized by a unique feature: in the capital B, P, and R, the stroke of the bowl does not quite meet with the stem. The design is noticeably calligraphic with a dynamic and delicate character, especially in the italics. Its subtleties can best be appreciated when set in large point sizes.

STROKIN is an inky, messy, Omnicase display font. It’s part charcoal part paint strokes, reversed in lighter tones it looks like chalk, add a splash a red and it starts to look like blood. D Sert—based on the Pirata typeface—is inspired by 70s Chilean constructivist design and the political propaganda posters artwork of La Unidad Popular (Chilean political coalition). D Sert is the result of the combination of the Chilean graphic art revival with new trends, such as the handmade movement and super font families. The super family comprises 47 weights and comes with two versions: D Sert and D Sert Alt, plus extras. Diagonal strokes are significantly different between the two versions: diagonals of the Alt version are much more logical than the diagonals of the normal version. Another difference is the bowls of the capitals: in the D Sert version, they slightly project above the cap height, making it a more daring version and bringing it closer to calligraphy; contrarily, in the Alt version, bowls do not project above the cap height, which makes it a more tidy font. This way, the combination of the two versions and extras provides the user with the freedom to create any kind of artwork.

Back to the basics. In the last ten years, type design has been confronting chaotic scene. The font market is flooded with a mixture of wheat and chaff and typography becomes increasingly complex. But one golden straight path exists. The path began from the industrial revolution, passing through swiss style, now we walk along the path as a matter of course. It is sans-serif. The decades from the Swiss style, namely "less is more age" to the contemporary basic style "Less, but better age", we call it golden decades. In those decades, type design met modernism. Go back to a theory in the golden decades, we redesigned new geometric, minimal sans-serif. Less is more and better. We added cool and calm spices to the modernism in the golden decades. As a result, letterform has a contemporary, sharp, and neutral atmosphere, and geometric rounded bowls and counters create a nice rhythm. Golden Decades consists of 8 weights and their matching Italics for a wide range of usages. Farther, Golden Decades is supporting international Latin languages and basic Cyrillic languages including Basic Latin, Western Europe, Central and South-Eastern Europe. At first glance, Else may seem to be similar to many of the Century typefaces, with its prominent figures and sturdy alphabet. But when Robert Norton, of Norton Photosetting Ltd., designed Else in 1982, he added a bit of flair to that basic model. Note the bowl of the g, the splayed legs of the M, the sharply curved G and J, as well as the leading strokes of v and w and both of the graceful ampersands.

Macis is a real-and-fake-retro-modern font-family containing five weights from thin to black. It is inspired by shop signs, packaging and typography from around the middle of 20th century. Though it is strictly geometrically constructed, it contains some hand-crafted influences as well as some irregularities. Some say, it dances on the baseline, ’cause the bowls and curves reach far out over the stems. Use it in big sizes, especially the extreme weights!

Ridley is a calligraphic-influenced, decorative, medieval font combining Roman and Gothic forms. It is named for Nicholas Ridley and similar in style to Staunton’s Latimer font. Ridley and Latimer were protestants burned together at the stake in 1555 during the reign of Queen “Bloody” Mary.

Magdelin is a minimal yet warm gothic sans with normal and alternate families. At its core, the design has simple forms and low contrast, yet it takes some qualities from the humanist class with its calligraphy or cursive-inspired details found in the italics and the bowl shapes of characters like b and d. The small x-height, longer ascenders and descenders, and semi-condensed proportions give it a bit of a vintage or classic feel while still appearing contemporary and modern.

Collateral Damage is a classic splatter font from the earlier days of the internet. A consistent fan favorite since its initial release in 1999, this ink-dripping font was inspired by the gonzo art of Ralph Steadman. It looks hand-painted, like graffiti.
