As most successful German private press, «Bremer Presse» has strongly influenced German book art. It was founded 1911 in Bremen to print and produce books in perfection. The role model of the press’ typeface was the english Doves Press. Willy Wiegand drew three versions of the «Bremer Presse» antiqua font, starting with the regular weight in 16 pt and adding later the regular weights in 11 and 12 pt. The revival of this beautiful font is based on the 12 pt weight. During the design process, the focus was laid on finding the elegance and strength of original prints. As it was designed to print books, the typeface is optimally used for texts. And with the revival’s new weights «medium» and «bold» and OpenType features like ligatures or old style figures, you can design sophisticatedly typographical compositions.

The inspiration source for Distinto Borders are the Black & White and Running Borders from the 1906 Abridged Keystone Type Foundry Specimen Book. Nine Black & White Borders and Thirteen Running Borders are compiled within this font, all of which can be formatted in various manners to allow maximum versatility. While we've adjusted the metrics in this font, your program of choice may override and use their own settings. Make certain that the point size and the leading size are the same so that the borders connect properly. For instance, the font set at 12 points, should also be set to have 12 points of leading. Cutlass was just for fun. A year ago or so [2009, maybe], someone on typophile showed a scan of the word "Ciruelo". I liked it. Those were the only letters I had and no one ever came up with the name of the original font that I saw. It doesn't matter as I went far afield as I designed, as usual. Linotype Algologfont is part of the Take Type Library, chosen from the contestants of Linotype’s International Digital Type Design Contests of 1994 and 1997. Designed by German artist Bjorn Hansen, the font contains exclusively capital letters and the forms of the characters look like branches or driftwood bent to form an alphabet and punctuation. The font is very flexible and can give text either a myterious and strange impression or a free and natural one, dependent on context. Linotype Algologfont is best suited to headlines in larger point sizes.

ITC Simran was created by the London designer Satwinder Sehmi in 1998. The Indian influence is recognizable at first glance and lends the font an exotic feel - at least to the western eye. Sehmi borrowed forms and feelings from northern Indian writing systems for this typeface. Both the upper and lowercase letters make use of the same lowercase forms, but the upperacse letters have the addition of a horizontal bar running over them at the ascender height. This feature is directly reminiscent of writing systems in northern India, and is ITC Simran's most distinguishing characteristic. But there were other influences as well: Sehmi was also inspired by uncial forms when designing this typeface. ITC Simran exhibits the typical look of writing with a broad-tipped pen, with its strong strokes, as well as characteristic letter forms, for example, the a or h. ITC Simran is a fascinating and harmonious symbiosis of a variety of influences from different cultures. This font is best used for headlines and short texts in point sizes of 12 and larger.

TabloidDot M is a simple monospace font created for a small project. It had one task, to imitate the inscriptions on the electronic scoreboard in the form of dots arranged on a grid. Since 2017, I have been improving my font creating skills. In the same year, I went through my father's notes and decided to make a font with his handwriting style. I completed the initial version with a lower number of glyphs in 2018. It supported only basic Latin, Turkish, and Azerbaijani alphabets. On the 15th of January 2021, my dad will turn 60. The Federal Art Project division of the WPA (Works Progress Administration) employed numerous artists, musicians, actors and other creative sorts in a effort to help many survive the Great Depression of the 1930s. One of the posters created by this project was for a "Card Party and Barter Benefit" with proceeds going toward the Nassau Art Teachers Benefit Fund - taking place at the Coca-Cola plant in Rockville Centre, New York. East Village JNL was derived from this poster, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.
