Carpe Noctem (Latin for ‘Seize The Night’), was a bit of a surprise. Someone asked me if I could create a lower case for my Closet Skeleton font. I began working on it and lo and behold, a beautiful font started taking shape. So, if you’re in need of a slightly scary fairytale font, complete with angled edges, swirly bits, a couple of alternate - even more curly - glyphs and an alternate medieval ampersand, then Carpe Noctem is your typeface!

This font was inspired from the medieval Dances of Death patterns, as a modest tribute to the famous engraver Hans Holbein's Alphabet of Death. We have tried to keep the spirit of the time -- its sarcastic humor mixed with its objective and frozen realism. The font, consisting in two complete capital alphabets: Initials and caps, and a lot of separate figures added, is especially improved by strong enlargements, 72 pts and more, and has very good results when printed.

Cruz Quaste is a calligraphic medieval type, drawn by Måns Grebäck between 2018-2020. While traditional in character it is yet original, and could be described as a reinvented Gothic style. Its blackletter style it works great in historical contexts, or to give projects a tough feeling. Cruz Quaste contains OpenType features such as alternates and ligatures. The font is multilingual and supports all Latin-based European languages. It contains numbers, punctuation and all symbols you'll ever need.

strokeWeight is inspired by the aesthetics of computer vector graphics. strokeWeight is the name of a processing programming function to set the thickness of a stroke. The single bezier curve that describes a stem as a centerline with a particular stem thickness represents the basic idea of this typeface. The unconventional corners and stem endings derive from the concept. If you buy the complete strokeWeight family you will get a strokeWeight variable font file for free!

Happenstance came out of a play session with Bezier curves with a sense of fun built into its being. First came play, then came work. Thomas Edison once said,”Creativity is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.” Nikola Tesla thought the opposite. In this case, what started as inspiration took a lot of perspiration to corral into a usable font. So maybe the reality is a) different for different people or b) somewhere in the middle. Just sayin’.

Eroika Slab is a robust, display serif, intended to be set large. While for most serifs, display means high contrast, Eroika's "displayness" stems from its wide stance, tight spacing, equal cap and ascender heights, flared stems and large x-height. The italics in particular are quite unorthodox, with their vertical serif cut-offs and foot serifs where most fear to tread ('scuse the pun). All fonts feature a useful array of stylistic sets, oldstyle figures, automatic fractions and case sensitive forms. All ligatures are in the discretionary section, as it's my belief that this typeface looks better without them, but I like to offer the choice. Perfect for book covers, craft beer logos, boxing paraphernalia and tattoo magazine pull quotes. And probably a whole lot more besides!

Gernsheim is a semi condensed display sans serif font family. This font family has been created for use in headlines and logo display fitted on showcase screen. 9 weights and 18 font styles make up the initial release. To increase the adoption of a wide range of display fonts, the individual glyphs' handle fluctuations were subtly applied. The compromise of disproportion between straight lines and curves improves glyphs autonomy and relieves tension. And by applying rounded corner effects to each style, it presents the reader with softness and comfort. It is designed so that the rebellious disproportion created by heavy styles transition to flat and classy tenderness as the thin style approaches. Cosmic Turtle is the belief that the world is supported by a giant turtle. It is mostly found in Hindu and Chinese mythology and the mythologies of the indigenous peoples of the Americas. I had to think of this, as the idea of the Cosmic Turtle is referenced to in the 1982 book ‘A Wild Sheep Chase’ by Haruki Murakami - my favourite author. Cosmic Turtle is a font that I made using a broken chop stick and Chinese ink. I was actually trying to create something scary for Halloween, but this is what came out and I quite like it. Cosmic Turtle is a fat display font with rough edges, wobbly glyphs and a set of double letter ligatures for you to play with.
