We have created this font as a complement for the 825 Karolus. It is a set of decorated letters in the style of those used by the scribes during the early medieval era. It is inspired from a manuscript copy of "The Hobbit" (in Caroline style) that we obtained in the year 2000 as a present for our daughter’s 15th birthday.

Numis was born out of a coin collecting hobby. A quick survey of coins from the late medieval to modern periods to today led to this unicase design. The rounded corners and smoothed edges are meant to evoke a the slightly worn letterfaces found on old coins; a process that tends to bolden the text before being rubbed away completely.

The font series Andron MC introduces a new feature to the repertoire of the Andron family: middlecase glyphs (intermediate between upper- and lowercase) – and uncial letters. Middlecase glyphs reach a medium height compared to full caps height and lowercase x-height. However, ‘uncial’ means the historic transitional lettershapes of the medieval ages which have gained no status in the bicameral typographic system of modern times. In all three of the Andron MC fonts middlecase (“MC”) glyphs dwell on the lowercase positions. These are coined in uncial fashion in the MC Uncial and MC Medieval fonts but appear as capital glyphs in MC Capital. The same variation occurs with the uppercase positions: whereas standard Roman/capital glyphs are there in MC Uncial and MC Capital, MC Medieval features uncial majuscules here instead. Some typefaces are more deserving of the reference "original typeface design" than are others. Such a typeface is Steve's Safefont GD. It is indeed safe to say that this design has caused some controversy. However, the management of Galapagos Design Group believes that the message of the typeface, even before its characters are used to form words in print, is important enough-and the design itself compelling enough-to warrant the risk of any unintended offense it might cause. Safefont GD is made up of condoms, in various shapes and sizes. The design originated as a lampoon of contemporary-punk- and -garagefont- designs of the nineties. It soon evolved into the quintessence of socially conscious design. Steve suggests this typeface could be "useful as a public service font aimed at important health and social issues." This is the design that was always on the drawer. I designed it when I was bored of designing other typefaces, there was no briefing, I just wildly played with the bezier tool. It was something to relax from more serious work, so it feels like a very funny and smiling design. Genica mixes various styles creating a display type with lots of personality.

Egory castle was inspired from the history of the medieval age. The idea was to make us interested to explore in the aspect of art and decorative letters forms. Lots of studies that we have learned from history in middle age and inspiration from many different sources make very valuable references for us to develop a new idea in the development of this typeface.

The Radonezh font is a Latin alphabet layout based on Russian Lettering I have seen. The font is designed to give a classic Medieval Eastern European feel with a hand-lettered style. Radonezh comes with full punctuation, a complete character set for most Western European Latin alphabet languages, Cyrillic languages, and polytonic orthography for Greek. Being a decorative font, it works best at larger point sizes.

There is not much I can tell about Isolde. It is a plain typeface, rather wide and with dominant serifs. Its italics are more slanted than usual. In fact only Caslon's italic can compete about that. Its width makes it more suitable for decorations than for larger amounts of text. The name comes from the medieval tale about Tristan and Isolde. Isolde was released in 1993.

A series of lettering guides called “Mimeostyle” for the A. B. Dick Company of Chicago (produced for use in making mimeograph machine printing stencils) were custom manufactured by the Wright-Regan Instrument Company (Wrico). I bought a pair of green gumboots (or Wellingtons) the other day. I have a little wilderness outside and it is quite muddy, so I thought a pair of boots would be a good buy. Gumboots is a handmade comic font. It comes in a regular and a fat style and you can use it for just about anything that needs a bit of comic relief.
