Harlan is from another place and time. Inspired by the Baltimore bar "WC Harlan", which in turn was inspired by the old candle-lit bars of France, the tucked-away osterias of Italy, and the antique books and journals one might find in a patron's hand. It's a font you'll reach for when you're looking for something refined and elegant, but not too stylized or stuffy.

MVB Hotsy Totsy is Akemi Aoki’s first typeface design. Aoki created the letters in cut paper. Once digitized, the design was expanded to offer several weights and styles. Exaggerating the triangular serifs and tapering strokes of “Latin” typefaces, MVB Hotsy Totsy is the perfect party face, appearing frequently on board games, product packaging, and in children’s books. It is named for (what was at the time) a dive bar in Albany, California. The bar has since been renovated but its neon sign was preserved, a local landmark of San Francisco’s East Bay.

This is an original typeface designed in the Arts And Crafts style. It is similar to Arts And Crafts GS, but with a more organic hand lettering style true to the Arts and Crafts movement. It is loosely inspired by the decorative lettering of Jessie Marion King, and the Scottish style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh of the Glasgow School, from which Jessie received her training.

The 1930s era French textbook on lettering "100 Alphabets Publicitaires déssinés par M. Moullet" featured a hand lettered chamfered alphabet with slab serifs reminiscent of sports lettering. Although intended for advertising and signage inspiration, only a partial lower case was illustrated along with the capitals and no numbers or other characters existed. These had to be created from scratch. The finished result is not only a bit of classic lettering from the past, but the font also doubles as a typeface with a sports look and feel. A traditional (rather than stylized) M and N are located on the solid bar key and the broken bar key respectively. Old Sport JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Made in La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland), Hyper Top is born while the designer (Bisou) watches "One from the Heart", a movie from Francis Coppola where Las Vegas is completely rebuilt in studio. The opening scene stages the signboard of the Dunes hotel and casino. This is the starting point of the most modern font ever designed by Bisou. Hyper Top is thought from ground up to give a strong impact. Dynamic, joyful, fast, this modern bold font is best suitable titles. The objective of this font was to try and find out how far back in the designer's life this obsession with letters began. The challenge was to draw, from memory only, two sets of caps that recall older Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies lettering. The experiment was a success, which means that the designer's got it bad since he was, like, four! The letterforms are based on Inserat Cursive, a bold script popular in the late nineteenth century; the treatment was suggested by cover artwork for Graphic Styles from Victorian to Post-Modern, written by Stephen Heller and designed by Seymour Chwast. Included in the font are several handy ink blots (section mark and superior numbers positions), a stylish tailpiece (florin position), and a couple of ink bottles patterned after those on the bookcover (bar and broken bar).

Mid-century California was a magical place. Post-war optimism fueled the popularity of everything from Hollywood to roadside diners. Palm Canyon Drive is a monoline script inspired by retro matchbook covers, travel postcards, Tiki bars and Hollywood. With a classy yet unpretentious tone Palm Canyon Drive is as comfortable on a Tiki bar matchbook cover as it is on a Hollywood movie poster.

Tucked inside the November 5, 1927 issue of a German signpainters' trade paper was a single sheet headed Der Schilder und Schriftenmaler, which featured an alphabet called "Neue Fraktur". An exuberant (if somewhat unconventional) combination of Art Deco sensibilities and blackletter forms, the font retains its freshness, even today. Included in this version are Deco bishops fingers at the bar and broken bar positions, and a styling, horn-blowing herald at ASCII circumflex and tilde positions. Both versions of the font include 1252 Latin and 1250 CE (with localization for Romanian and Moldovan) character sets.

Around 1931, the Los Angeles Times (in partnership with the Richfield Oil Company) installed on its building a moving message board similar to the one at the New York Times in New York City which they dubbed an “electric newspaper”. The style of characters used on this electronic sign were the basis for the namesake font Electric Newspaper JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. A blank space to place between words is available on both the solid bar and broken bar keystrokes.

Aforo Display is a decorative font suitable for logos, headlines, packaging, signs, posters, postcards, labels, publishing, page design... The basis of the construction of the Aforo Display typeface is a slab serif font intertwined in four horizontal bars similar to the marquee letters of the old cinema/theatres. Hence its name: Aforo in Spanish is the capacity of spectators of a theater. The horizontal bars partially penetrate each character giving a sense of depth and the right and lower strokes are widened to simulate volume. It comes with four special characters to add start and end arrows, two versions for each element.

This is a special font for use creating US Postal Service "Intelligent Mail" barcodes. Those are the barcodes you see on most cards and envelopes. Commercial mailers get the best pricing by printing barcodes when they address the mail, saving the Postal Service a step. The barcodes are also used on reply mail and Share mail, and for "Informed Visibility" tracking. Software to create these barcodes, including the USPS Intelligent Mail Small Business (IMsB) tool, typically provide an output of 65 characters, each character being an A, D, T or F, corresponding to each of the styles of bar. Kaffemoster is a Swedish slang word for a lady, usually a bit older, who likes to drink coffee and gossip while she’s drinking it. I have decided to study a bit of Swedish, so I downloaded an app and I am practising my Swedish vocabulary every night! Det går långsamt, men jag klarar det! Kaffemoster is a nice, handmade pencil font. It comes with extensive language support (including Swedish) and a nice set of alternates for the lower case letters.
