النبض - the Pulse Pulse JP ME is a constructivist text and display font that differs from comparable fonts due to its special sharpness and harmonious balance. Its technical and constructed form creates a somewhat artificial impression of particular appeal. It is ideal for display on the screen and can be used in many projects. Pulse JP ME is a super family consisting of 48 fonts from compressed to expanded in six weights each. This opens up a wide designspace with the possibility of combining typefaces of the same character in a wide variety of variants and being able to adapt them to very different conditions. The details of the individual fonts are coordinated with each other with great precision and perfectly implemented in terms of craftsmanship. In all variants, this leads to a very balanced design with particular sharpness. The very extensive character set supports 120 Latin + 7 Arabic languages + Hebrew. The Arabic characters were designed in close collaboration with the Iranian designer Prof. Raafat Negarandeh. Here the constructivist approach is repeated within Arabic proportions. We introduce our Variable Font from the high-complex BD Gitalona font family. Consisting of 3 axes; weight, optical size, and serif, that will give you a different experience extending the family of BD Gitalona. During the development process, we got up to more than 50 families and stopped to allow you to continue to play with the slide buttons. Jean Evans' interest in type design dates back to her third-grade fascination with fancy script writing. Years later, work at a sign-painting school she found in the Yellow Pages® cemented her relationship with letterforms. Evans went on to study with master calligraphers and type designers, including the likes of Donald Jackson, Hermann Zapf and Matthew Carter. Evans' designs have been exhibited and collected around the globe, and her distinctive calligraphic style has been lauded by leading trade organizations, annuals and publications. Hatmaker, one of Evans' more popular typefaces, was originally developed for the Boston-based broadcast design firm of the same name. Inspiration for the design came from Ben Shahn's famous hand-constructed alphabet. Shahn's alphabet, however, was limited to capital letters. Daunted by the idea of designing a lowercase that would measure up to Shahn's capitals, I developed a second set of caps-simple, quirky, yet almost classic-to work as 'lowercase' with the Shahn-like caps," explains Evans. Designed by Luciano Vergara and his wife Guisela Mendoza who has been studying ornaments since 2007 and has done her best for each project. You can see in her dingbats specially Printa and Abel designed for generate patterns. Now she integrated her passion to the ornament in a clean set which includes dingbats, ornaments and patterns. Luciano Vergara has designed very strong fonts with a particular work in the lines study and close to the geometry since 2005, getting a structure style, you can see in his fonts specially Regia and Kahlo. Now he integrated his study of lines, in a hairline font delicate, continuous and beautiful. In this story both designers have been merged their worlds creating a gorgeous product. This is a romantic type story, a love story.

When Patricia Lillie was growing up, she thought the coolest thing in the world would be finding her own name listed in a library catalog. The fantasy came true in 1986 when her first children's book was published. Five more followed. The thrill of seeing her work on library shelves hasn't abated, but today, Lillie is just as likely to see one of her typefaces on the cover of a book. She has created several display faces and image fonts. My first typeface designs were based on lettering I'd done while working for a library, doing graphics work for the children's section," she explains. "I currently do a lot of web design, but type is my favorite thing." The Tickles (ITC Tickle and ITC Tickle Too) are Lillie's first ITC typeface releases. "I was playing around with a Sharpie marker one day and liked the way the letters looked," she recalls. "I started redoing the letters from scratch in Fontographer to see what developed, and liked those letters too." ITC Tickle is a bi-form font (with both cap and lowercase letters of the same size) that clearly breaks a typographic rule or two. ITC Tickle Too has the same basic lettershapes, but they've grown clusters of stipples that give a three-dimensional quality to the design. The result is a friendly, offbeat display family that's guaranteed to add a giggle to your work."

Most of my fonts tend to skew more to the darker side in terms of themes and uses. So, as a challenge, I took it upon myself to design a font through the eyes of my wife. Josephine, having a sunny and carefree disposition, gave this font her blessing as being certifiably fun and cheerful. The name of the font comes from the Cantonese translation for "peach" (tow); and saying it twice (toto) is just a cuter way of putting it. Sort of like "Peachy". It's been my nickname for Josephine for as long as I can remember. Mezalia is a one of a kind typeface. Its shapes were strongly influenced by bastarda scripts of high medieval times. Unlike most fonts sharing similar origin, Mezalia is not just another blackletter but a fully functional text typeface, blending medieval poise and character with modern sensibilities. Stroke widths, imitating a broad nibbed pen of a scribe, fluctuate constantly giving paragraphs a characteristic vibrating texture. Despite it's strong character Mezalia is very legible and will be an excellent choice for a book or an elegant magazine. Mezalia has two distinct styles: straight and cursive (true italic if you will, although the word is not really correct here), which come in seven weights, from thin to black. Each weight contains a set of old-style figures, lining figures, small caps and ligatures. A separate style containing drop-cap initials is also available.

Here is a profoundly delicate and graceful design that has its roots in art deco fashion. This elegant typeface is based on an old 1930s lettering style popularized by Carl Holmes in his wonderful book on the subject. Somewhat condensed with a very tall lowercase, Panorama carries itself beautifully. It is similar to such classics as Stellar and Optima with stems flaring slightly at the ends. Panorama has a great number of alternate capital, small capital, and lowercase characters including two sets of alternate figures. Panorama, Panorama Alts, and Panorama SC are also available in the OpenType Std format. Some new characters have been added to these OpenType versions. Advanced features currently work in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress 7. Check for OpenType advanced feature support in other applications as it gradually becomes available with upgrades.

Another 48-cut family from a typeface system which originally arose from the need to simply explain to some publishers what it is “serif, sans-serif, egyptian”, etc. including their style variations. Over time, the Trivia became quite popular, which was her goal. Now is the opportunity to explain what it is “grotesque.” Grotesque in art is generally synonymous with bizarre, repulsive impropriety, but also surreal abomination exciting an empathic pity.
