Cal Uncial Rough is a calligraphic font based on sketches written with cane calligraphy pen and ink on coarse-textured paper. Because of the fact that the Uncial don't have lowercase letters, there are small capitals instead of the lowercase. As the Latin version of the Uncial was created from the Greek Uncial script (translating the Bible from Greek into Latin), in addition to the standard Latin graphemes, the font contains the Greek alphabet (and also the Cyrillic letters (Ustav), derived from the Greek Uncial too). Regardless of the stylistic connection, there is a difference between the morphology of related Greek, Latin and Cyrillic letters. Most of the graphemes are based on traditional roman and insular uncial calligraphy. Cal Uncial Rough is suitable for the preparation of calligraphic sketches as well as an application in typography that should bring us closer to historical topics (European literature, quotes, history, film ...).

Tuxedo is a display & logotypes typeface. It is however suitable for short texts. Its design is inspired by the Bauhaus works. Tuxedo has been created directly on the screen without any sketch. Because of its "mechanical" structure, this typeface endure anamorphosis distortions nicely.

Inspired by a former Hermann Zapf design, Hanse Textura was completely redrawn and redesigned as an English-style blackletter font with a calligraphic touch. It comes also with the historical long s which can be reached either by typing [alt] + b or by using the OT feature historical forms. I strongly recommend to activate both OT features, standard and discretionary, to access all ligatures built in the font. The keys pi and product are occupied with beautiful border elements.

Voluta Script is the work of Austrian designer Viktor Solt, created for use in a guide to the Austrian Gallery at Castle Belvedere. A volute (Latin voluta") is a spiral or scroll-shaped ornament used in the Baroque architecture of Castle Belvedere, similar to the swashes in this typeface. The castle was the historic residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy, one of the great military commanders of the 18th century and a prominent figure in Austrian history. When asked to create a typeface based on the calligraphy of the period to illustrate Eugene's epic, Solt turned for inspiration to Kurrent writing, a cursive blackletter style. Solt created a hybrid style that embodies the rhythm and basic forms of its ancestors, with large capitals, dark vertical strokes, and flourished beginning and ending characters. The typeface was designed to be used in sizes of 24 points and greater. Voluta Script allows designers to evoke the Baroque era or to lend a hint of majestic grace to contemporary typesetting."

LeKing is a Frankenstein of vintage ornamental typefaces of the past centuries. Each character is a collage of different bits of different letters. Zirkle is a monoline font in which the upper-case letters were designed from circles or bits of circles, with interior straight lines. It was the first font I designed in Fontographer when Fontographer was still in version 2 and the most advanced Macintosh was the Macintosh II. I have heard from people who like it, but it was designed not to meet some need but to play with the geometry of circle-based letters. ZirkStressed is a “squared” version that was the result of playing with a font distortion program, which in this case produced a result that seemed interesting.

Based on the lettering and graphic design of the Beat Generation era, Daddy-O was produced in conjunction with the Whitney Museum of American Art to coincide with the exhibition Beat Culture and the New America: 1950-1965. Linotype BioPlasm is a display face created by Italian design Mauro Carichini in 2002. It distorts and deletes parts of letters, creating the appearance of a living, typographic organism in pages of text. Lines set in Linotype BioPlasm seems bubble to the surface, and always hints at some sort of unrevealed secret. Although only parts of most letterforms are visible, the high x-heights of Linotype BioPlasm's letters make its text surprisingly legible for such a concept-font. For usage in products ranging from Sonic to Science, Linotype BioPlasm may be the font for you!

This font is not a historical one. Although to make it was quite time-consuming (each glyph was hand-drawn separately, except for the ligatures), this cartoon or comics style font is just made for fun.
